Yeah, it says so in the second paragraph, and the article includes Hearts and Hibs but not Dundee or Hamilton, so it should be obvious anyway.

Even though it is for last season, though, St Mirren's figure is surprisingly high.

Yeah that's what I thought. It was people mentioning Arquin and Ball even though they only joined this season that confused me

A lot of nonsense. Not a chance the average pay at Firhill is £45k a year. How is that financed? We have a small but loyal crowd and a board who spend less than what comes in which is sensible. I don't see any player being in 50k let alone 70-90k if the above figure is an average. I also highly doubt the average at St Johnstone is over £65k. Who's data is this?

This is the biggest pile of shite I've ever read. That's with taking into account some of the posters on this site.

The one that stands out for me is Hearts, considering they were supposedly the youngest team in the league and weren't allowed to sign anyone over 21.

lol wut

Was it not you who posted something equally nonsensical in the Thistle thread a couple of months back?

I've no idea why it seems so outrageous to you that there are players at Thistle making a grand a week. There almost certainly are, otherwise we wouldn't have the likes of Higginbotham, Stevenson or Taylor playing for us.

The average pay might not be as high as stated, as £45k a year or £875 a week does seem slightly high considering our squad last season, but if it was an average of starting lineup it would probably just about make sense.

Interesting read for all SPFL football fans. Which Managers out performed their league finishing position to wages spent last season? 2013/2014. McCall, Adams and Hughes seem to be the best.

Ross County should pay more.
