ArabFC
Hearing Patons out for up to 4 months. Im sure his injury will whip certain posters on here up into a wanking frenzy Been there. Done that!
Zetterlund
Paton would have been more effective than Souttar on Sunday, despite his limitations he would have contributed more. Mind you, the seagulls had more of an influence than Souttar. I think it was scandalous that the away fans were allowed to smuggle the seagulls into the ground tbh, should have been confiscated at the turnstiles. stumigoo
Apparently the Tele is reporting that we are edging towards a deal for Souttar for the next 18 months. No word about the seagulls...

stumigoo
6 month extension then? Not sure, have only seen the headline. A 6 month extension would mean that we are looking to sell and get a decent fee. Edit: Just read the Tele, it doesn't mention a time it just says United are hopeful of an extension. GFARAB82
Scotty Fraser has signed a new 3 year deal and hopes to be given a chance when merited to shine according to the clubs website (was posted yesterday) happy with that fellow arabs?

Deeboy
Madrid were after him but it was years ago when he was a young lad. When Wesley was there. I'm not too sure they actually gave two shits about his football ability.
stumigoo
The Sneijders probably enjoy a similar relationship to the one Vincent Chase and Johnny Chase have. Vince (Wesley) will always look out for Johnny (Rodney) and he will invite him to join him as part of his various projects but the reality is that Drama will never quite make it despite numerous cameo appearances. You will either appreciate this reference or not understand a word of it.
Deeboy
It's pretty much what I was saying. I applaud Rodney for eventually deciding enough is enough and to make a crack at it off his own back, maybe Matias at Thistle will let his wee brother get on with his career too. Desert Nomad
There's a pretty significant element to the United support who want McNamara out asap, he's getting slagged for the lack of overage players in the development squad game this evening. I did think it was a bit of a wasted opportunity considering Bodul and Dave were so obviously short of match fitness on Sunday. 45-60 minutes tonight would have done them the world of good. I don't want McNamara out, but I've been irritated by the way he doesn't bother with the development league for a while now. The guy will regularly stand there in interviews with Arabzone and talk about how certain players are lacking in fitness or confidence. You can bet your bottom dollar he'll say the same thing about Bodul and Sneijder after the Motherwell game. What better way to get players sharper and more confident than by playing them in these games? And by playing alongside some of these more experienced players, the kids will benefit too. But he didn't bother. And not only that, none of the first team squad took part, so even guys like Ali Coote weren't part of the team. Instead tonight it was a team full of players with absolutely no chance of playing first team football any time soon, and a guy who has been told to find a new club (Scott Smith). Madness. Last season, he missed a trick by not putting Henri Anier in any of these games. It could have made a difference to the guy; it might not have but it could.
