At first, I thought he was talking nonsense but it does make sense. Would explain him being in the match, considering the New Day are tag champs. Big E and Xavier could take the belts and Kofi take the briefcase. He's been overdue a main event push. It would also explain his match in Japan with Lesnar too. We had Rollins holding the briefcase but with absolutely no chance of cashing it in as the titleholder was never there. So he held the briefcase by default rather than design.
