how far do you live from where you were born?

Recommended Posts

Just come back from the highland folk museum where they told me most people would live and die in the same Glen they were born in. I thought this pretty weird until the missus pointed out I can see the ward i was born in from the kitchen window.

So can anyone beat 0.6 miles for a lack of ambition?

Born in Rutherglen, now live in Shawlands/Newlands area in the south side. 3.4 miles according to Google maps. Used to live closer, was brought up in Somerville Drive, which runs along the North Stand at Hampden Park.

Born in Rottenrow Maternity Hospital, Glasgow. Now stay behind Broadwood Stadium which is about 13 miles away.

Exact same until the end of last year. Now live in other side of Cumbernauld.

About 3 miles as the crow flies from where I stay now. I was born in the Queen Mother Maternity Hospital.

Until I returned for University though I spent most of my life between 60 and 140 or so miles away.

Born in Aberdeen, but followed my destiny of moving to Motherwell.

Moving to Carfin soon, in a lovely townhouse. Aye that's right, Addie truly is living the dream (minus the safe water).
