Championship completely trumps Premiership, as expected. THIS, it seems, is the place to be ;):thumsup2

239,000 households, yes 239,000 households on the 27th of December watched on as Hibernian absolutely hammered that mob from Govan.

Hearts were involved in 4 of those top 6 watched matches. Now that the Championship's big draw have been promoted to the Premiership, it's hard to see as many people being interested in the remaining detritus.

5 of the top 5 watched involved Rangers. There's not really a lot of evidence therefore that Hearts were the "big draw".

If you are going to try to pull spurious conclusions out of the figures to try to poke fun at Rangers it's probably best to make sure they are not so obviously codswallop first. ;)

No worries, St Mirren are sure to make up for the lost Hearts audience..

haha, well said! :)

I think what we can conclude from these statistics is 1) there's a lot of intrigue regarding Rangers both north and south of the border. Added to the fact they're already the most supported Scottish team in the UK anyway. 2) Celtic inevitably winning Premierships is so boring that even their own fans aren't tuning in. 3) Championship clubs should be earning more from the TV deal than Premiership clubs and 4) BT Sport have emerged as a credible challenger to Sky which can only be a good thing for Scottish football.

I've absolutely no idea if those are high figures or not - to my untrained eye they look a bit pish!?

How do they compare to the Premiership or some of the foreign leagues that are shown?

And does anyone have any idea how much it costs to have an advert shown during one of these ad breaks ? A potential audience of 155k homes aint that big a deal surely ?

Well Ned, it's funny you should ask. It seems that the trivia-thwackers over at Hibs.net can also provide an answer:
