I agree with with you that the referendum debate is a waste of time.... ...because the result is in no doubt . It's completely remiss of the Tories, SLAB and erm...eh.....Willie Rennie's party to prolong the inevitable outcome by wasting time. But here we are with the SNP (and the greens (good c***s)) being dragged into the chamber to debate it. Poor show from the merry band of unionist MSPs.

WhiteRoseKillie
You lot have absolutely no fecking idea how jealous I am, stuck down here trying (in vain, it seems, but there's always hope) to do my bit to remind Labour members and representatives what they're supposed to stand for, rather than actually getting stuck into the vilest Tories for a generation they seem to be more focussed on their own careers/positions. Roll on mandatory reselection, say I. Scottish Labour is committing a lengthy suicide, but the Party as a whole risks following them unless they remember who they represent. The re-invigoration of politics in Scotland can be put down, imho, to one specific difference in HR over WM - proportional representation. The forcing of various viewpoints to compromise, deal, and come to a working solution is one that would have severely limited the damage done to England and to the UK in the last few years, with the added advantage of giving the scum that are UKIP the responsibility of having to back up their racist rhetoric with actual ideas. They'd have been gone years ago if that simple demand had been made of them.

This is the sort of thorough, reasoned and intelligent attack line responsible for the stunning electoral successes of Unionist parties in Scotland since the turn of the decade.
