Estonian Cup continues to bring pre-season joy as fifth tier side Eston Villa put 15 past non-league Metsis yesterday without reply.

Links to a certain club in Birmingham by any chance?

Suppose I should preface that for the first two or three friendlies, Dutch pro clubs always play local amateur teams to give them a boost via ticket sales, which is a handy way to endear oneself to the locals. Nonetheless, it makes for a swath of lopsided results;

what about the fort winning 9-3 away to jeanfield reds,though

Jeanfield Swifts was it not? That's file under the unexpected mismatched pre-sesson friendlies thread.

They played Jeanfield U19, not the first team.

Fort William are used to playing HL opposition not schoolboys so thrashing one of Jeanfield's youth teams (it was Jeanfield U19 Reds) may not signal a brave new dawn in Lochaber.

Their subsequent friendlies at home v Campbeltown Amateurs and Glenrothes of EOS League, and at Rosyth of East Juniors, may prove more informative.
