Stu
Now that one of the Old Firm has a new manager, expect to see plenty of interviews with guys - often with the most tenuous possible connection to Scottish football - saying how wonderful the new guy is and how he'll be a great fit for them. Guaranteed to happen every time Rangers are Celtic are linked with a new player or manager but, mysteriously, you never see an interview with a guy who says they'll be pish.

To be fair to Boyd, he said it was a strange appointment. Boydy doesn't like succulent lamb dishes anyway. It's too rich. He prefers the E numbers you get in Monster Munch.

I have a pretty good idea of where Motherwell are in the great scheme of things, so when you see fans of clubs like Yeovil giving it the 'Scottish football - pub league' chat it's both funny and depressing. We don't help ourselves though, I remember debating on here with caley fans who thought billy McKay going to Wigan was a better move than shinnie moving to pittodrie. as you say its supporters of diddy teams like Wigan who come out with this pish to make themselves feel better.

Dons_1988
Adriam Durham always has been and always will be a grade A walloper. Indeed. But it is part of the talk sport job description. It really is an utter waste of energy to be even slightly bothered by talksport.

They deserve all they get!!

I think your spot on with this, they're just looking for a reaction all the time. Plus they're pandering to their main audience which is the average English premiership fan, so they constantly put down other leagues, the Champions League etc, That, and the way they constantly put down BT's involvement and how "no one will have watched that" because its on BT and not Sky is just so obvious, and it sums up what a crass station they are.

Imagine putting down the Champions League from the perspective of the EPL. I mean, fair enough if you're a fan of say Dutch or Danish football, much like with us sweaty Jockos, but the sheer nerve of that...
