This also seems an odd headline from the BBC, was there any combination of results today that would have meant St Mirren weren't third? St Mirren punish lifeless St Johnstone to stay third They technically could have gone second. But it wasn’t exactly realistic and nor does it fit the tone of the headline.

Ginaro
Some of those name errors are on https://www.xscores.com/soccer/country-games/scotland/28-10 so presumably they appear in the live feed supplied to the likes of BBC and Sky - but the apostrophe isn't and there's other differences... 12 minutes ago, HibeeJibee said: Bonnyrigg are Rose Athletic Just Rose apparently.

Monkey Tennis
This is the final line of the BBC Website piece about St Johnstone getting rid of their manager today: "With 31 league fixtures still to play, those on and off the field have time to turn things around at St Johnstone." Seriously, why can't these idiots even count?

Seriously, why can't these idiots even count? It's a fair question. If St Johnstone get to play two extra games, I think that gives them an outside chance of staying up. As long as those games are against Elgin City and Clyde.

The Master
A fairly minor thing, but on the BBC Sport homepage they have the "Football scores" panel which shows the most relevant upcoming fixtures (turning to scores after kick-off). They have the EFL cup as the default tab, but the second tab is for the EPL - which doesn't have any fixtures again until Saturday. To see tonight's Scottish fixtures, you need to go into the "More" menu. Edited November 1, 2023 by The Master

For some reason, on European nights, when you click on the matches from the list of fixtures, if it’s an English team it goes under the submenu of “European Football”, but if it’s a Scottish team it reverts to “Scottish Football “. A bit ironic given the brexit result…

Junior_Arab
https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ryan-kent-silence-broken-rangers-31260897 “Ryan Kent silence broken as Rangers hero issued “loyal” Fenerbahce non negotiable by irked boss with tensions rising” The headline on this article WTF does it even mean??? Who the f**k writes this shit? Yoda? Complete fucking word salad. Is it deliberate click bait to make people read the article to see what they’re actually gibbering on about since no-one is getting the content of the story from that headline?

I saw “Daily Record” & left it unclicked. Everyone knows who their “journalists” pander to, and what they are. Gavin Berry, Keith Jackson, Scott McDermott, Mark Pirie etc are all known currants in journalistic circles. And for that, they are best ridiculed at every opportunity, or better still, ignored.
