Decent pubs and clubs in Dundee

Recommended Posts

There's a couple of girls at my wife's work that are going up to Dundee for a night out next weekend and they want to know where to go to?

They are all 'George Street' type of lassies, cocktails, trendy bars etc if you get my drift. I haven't been out in Dundee in about a decade so I used to go to the DCA then the pub next to the Rep theatre then Fat Sams, I haven't a clue if this is still the usual route, so advice please?

Aye, that's all the cocktail bar areas. Avoid fatsams though, full of 16-20 year olds. Upstairs is full of 40 year old slags, so it's decent. Personally, I'd recommend ending the night at Trades before heading to Union 39 or Beau (purely for Lolz). Skip the club, just Casino it.

West House, Tinsmith and Duke's Corner would be my recommendation for cocktails etc.

Tinsmith, WestHouse, Duke's, DCA, Tonic, Braes, what was the Social (Superstore?). For clubs it is slim pickings. The Underground fits in with the rest of those pubs but it is always rammed and I hate it.
