Elgin vs East Stirlingshire

Recommended Posts

An interesting matchup as both teams won there opening game of the season. Having a read over the Arbroath vs Elgin thread it sounds like Arbroath gifted Elgin all three points so remain unsure if Elgin were actually challenged. Saying that The Shire love to give away easy goals that cost us games so it might be an easy opening two weeks for Elgin.

Neil McCabe coming back into the squad after a suspension is always a positive and hopefully Jon Tully can repeat his performance from the game against East Fife.

I presume we'll stick with the 5-2-3 anchored by the finest central defender in the Falkirk District, Jon Tully. Will be interesting to see who Craig Tully drops though to bring in McCabe as i can't see him just being on the bench, will probably be Kyle Carruthers which would be a shame after his impressive showings so far.

Hope it's a good away trip as usual, got a feeling its going to be a 0-0 shitefest however.

Great win against last seasons bogie team. Craig Gunn and Marc McKenzie hounded the ES defenders all game, and Soapy Cameron was once again superb in midfield. Most satisfied with the clean sheet again. East Fife away next week will be a real test tho.

Great win again keep it going city

Was impressed with daniel moore he's improved since last season from coming from nairn county and Brian Cameron great as ever wouldn't be surprised if there's more senior clubs watching him soon if he keeps playing the way he is

the shire keep the ball well at times but some of there shots were just not going for the target and we just managed to split there defence up with the pace of gunny and mark mckenzie on the wing
