CowdenConvert
Not quite Kyrgios levels of rage but Johnson had a mini meltdown and leathered the ball into the stands. What is it about Shanghai that makes tennis players lose the plot?

Didn't watch as I thought he might have his head together after Japan. Warning signs were there though after him stating he was bored. Was superb lads. Zverev was just looking about thinking 'what am I supposed to do here?'
Elixir
Must be class to be bored of travelling the world and playing tennis for thousands/millions of dollars.

He should take his playstation with him to give him something to do instead of practicing.
The-coo-shed
Didn't see the match but he looked good in the highlights against Pouille. No idea how he played though for most of it!Goffin next, who knocked out Del Potro in the 1st round
Elixir
That's Goffin come from a set down to beat del Potro and Monfils in the past few days. I had a feeling that Simon would beat Wawrinka and we wouldn't get to see him and Murray in the semi's. Just checked their head to head and saw that he also beat him in Shanghai two years ago. Should make life easier for Andy at least.
CowdenConvert
Some performance from Andy there to dispatch Goffin 2&2. Goffin played some good stuff but Andy was superb.
Spectre
Just saw the last 4 games of that, and it seemed all to simple for Murray, not sure Goffin was playing at what he was capable of but 6-2 6-2 is a bit of a doing

He put a lot of pressure on Goffins seevice. One game at the start of the second set lasted 15 minutes before Goffin held. A few key moments made it look a doing but it really wasn't although Andy always looked like winning.
Elixir
Heads gone from Djokovic at the end of that set.
Elixir
What a performance from Bautista Agut. Thought his chance was gone after missing those three match points on his serve. In a way I want to see Murray beat Djokovic to give him even more confidence going forward, but if he wins here that's another nice swing in ranking points.

KingswellsRed
Novak out 6-4 6-4. Only a matter of time until Andy takes the number one ranking.
Mr Anderson
Ah So. Djokovic will drop to12,900 ranking points. If Murray wins the tournament he'll be on 10,485. If Murray reaches the final he'll be on 10,085. If Murray loses the Semi Final he'll remain on 9,845. Basically if Murray wins it he's went from being 4,700 behind to 2,500 in the space of 2 weeks. Almost halfed the points difference, he's closing in.
Diamonds are Forever
Still think it might be early next season until he reaches it, unless something huge happens like Djokovic withdraws from WTF. If Murray can win in Shanghai though I'd say it's only a matter of time given how many points Djokovic has to defend early next season.

Elixir
If he wins tomorrow, plus in Vienna, Paris and the World Tour Finals, he'll finish year end number one I'm sure? Winning all those tournaments is a big ask, obviously, but the way he's going about things just now it certainly doesn't seem impossible.

Is that all not predicated on beating Djokovic in the final of each though? If Djokovic goes out early somewhere down the line is there not a bit of leeway?
