Ned Nederlander
Only if there was not one single other car out on the road. However, usually, either of those routes is polluted by Falkirk's "drive at 25mph and like a complete walloper" club. Motorway is better, for Larbert to Grangemouth or Polmont. I did Polmont to Larbert via TFS and through Camelon just the other day and at a peak time no bother at all.
DDcups
The jambo aboves already cracked a pish joke about one of the Forth bridges. I was being serious. Slip the security £20 they will let you cross.

It takes much longer due to getting caught in the traffic crawling along to Earl's Gate to join the motorway

Granny Danger
Or hire an ambulance for the day. Turn up with the lights and siren going - job done. (and save £20) How serious does it have to be to justify lights and siren?
Boghead ranter
How serious does it have to be to justify lights and siren? Don't want to be late for a wedding - doesn't get much more serious than that.
Mr Bairn
Knowing some of the ambulance men I do, it wouldn't surprise me if they use the siren shortly after phoning the office and instructing them to put the soup on
Scary Bear
How serious does it have to be to justify lights and siren? The Forth Road Bridge is closed which is gravely serious but the Forth Road Bridge has also seen many suicides. It's a tricky call whether to use the siren or not. Philpy would need to be involved, probably as a paid consultant, to formulate a policy for this unique and delicate event. This is a very sensitive issue and people are in an almost 'Princess Diana' frenzy about it. Hopefully the matter can be satisfactorily resolved. Edited December 13, 2015 by Scary Bear

I'm getting the feeling you are a fairly dishonest character.
Ned Nederlander
Clacks Bridge has reopened after being shut earlier. It made me wonder what the use of those expensive looking electronic overhead gantry signs is if they don't actually tell you in advance that the bridge you're driving towards is shut !? Ned Nederlander
I was going the other way, though. It takes much longer due to getting caught in the traffic crawling along to Earl's Gate to join the motorway I didn't go through Earl's Gate Roundabout (that's been an absolute c'nt since they stuck the lights in last year so I was already avoiding that) Are you saying the traffic heading to Earl's Gate Roundabout was backed up to TFS !?
Boostin' Kev
Went through Stirling earlier was a piece of piss. Average speed cameras on A90 were a bit of a pain in the arse though.
Gaz
I didn't go through Earl's Gate Roundabout (that's been an absolute c'nt since they stuck the lights in last year so I was already avoiding that) Are you saying the traffic heading to Earl's Gate Roundabout was backed up to TFS !? The traffic heading to Earl's Gate is usually backed up to the Westfield roundabout and onto the A9 bypass. Even without the bridge being shut. It's been like that for as long as I can remember and got even worse when they put the traffic lights onto the Earl's Gate roundabout.
Gaz
I live in the reality where you avoid a route that's pretty widely known to be busy as f**k. The point you've missed yet again, is that I was telling Billy Dynamite he'd be fine crossing in the morning as its been fine in the morning all week. For some reason you chose to take that route in the afternoon when it's rammed. You were replying to two people in the post I quoted, you blithering idiot.
lionel hutz
Does everyone here thing the A90 and the A9 are the same?
Gaz
I don't even know why you've got your frilly's in a twist over this to be honest. It wasn't just me who thought your route home was strange. But now you're just making things up. Here's how the convo went just to help you out:It would appear that I am an utter cretin. Carry on - as you were.
