Brig O'Lea
As Neilston Juniors continue to work towards becoming a community club, we are delighted to announce changes to the club's management which will take us forward on that path. Manager Andy Whiteford will take up a new role at the club, that of Community Football Development Manager. Andy's many years' experience as a player, coach and manager at both junior and senior level coupled with his extensive sports facilities knowledge are exactly what we need to take the club to where we want to be. We are also delighted to announce that Andy's assistant, Robert Graham has agreed to become the next manager of Neilston Juniors. The whole committee wish Robert every success and we are right behind him as we all look to get the club back to where it belongs on the park. Robert is already supported by a strong coaching team of Kevin Fraser and James Lennox and is currently speaking with other coaches to further strengthen the backroom team. Andy will continue to support the new management team with off field matters to allow them to concentrate purely on all footballing activities. Nugent4nil
Good luck Andy Cotter, you were one of 'my' players in Andy's testimonial match right? You Deeko, Branco, Maxy, JC, ex Ladeside boys, Mallan, Brian Johnston, McKeown, the list goes on and on............. as Andy said to me afterwards 'the fact theses guys wanted to be involved for me means so much' he was and always will be a legend as a player and a person more importantly, cracking guy and a great family man. This statement is fantastic in regards that Andy, with his football knowledge allied to his work skills, as he will be the man to drive forward the ideas that the hard working people up the hill have.
