UEFA flare issues at Celtic brings usual silence.

Recommended Posts

Yesterday UEFA again sat at a table to discuss the worst behaved fans in Europe but where was it announced here?? Celtic were back in the UEFA dock for their fans pyrotechnics just as it was announced yesterday further arrests had been made in relation to their Stranraer game a while back. Strong sources though suggest Celtic's friends in many places were working tirelessly to try and quell the news of why they now sit top of the Europe bad fan league! The question is would any other club be afforded such silence in the SMSM to ensure they're issues are tamed. How can we educate the young not to follow such poor behaviour when one of our main clubs appear to be protected over continual bad issues by a cabal connected to their club fan base. There is a clear group of Celtic propogandists in Scottish football as we all know - the same ones who want to point fingers elsewhere - but it's high time Scottish football said they won't be manipulated anymore by such a group. Celtic themselves should be educating fan groups on these issues. Banning a few fans is all well and fine but clearly the Celtic supports track record on such issues means education within their fan base is necessary to ensure future generations behave better.

I heard it on Radio Scotland, and saw it on the BBC website and the STV News website you king of whataboutery.

Compared to the coverage that "Celtic" flares get, the moral outrage that followed Linlithgow's incident at Forfar was ridiculous. All of a sudden facial recognition was being talked about. As was the case with the sectarian singing, the SFA and SPFL will only take action once UEFA have taken the lead. If is wasn't for UEFA starting the ball rolling, would any action whatsoever have been taken in Scotland with regard to this nonsense?

If you listen to anyone who actually knows who wields the big stick in Scottish football, Peter Lawell has an unhealthy level of influence. Once the Jolly Gers get back to the top of our fetid pile, you can add one of their number to that.
