JamieStevenson
Did anyone catch this on BBC? Cracking cast and I know it's only one episode in but it has the potential to be one of the best shows on BBC in a while.
JamieStevenson
Episode 2 is great, always been a fan of Tom Hiddleston but even more now.
highlandcowden
Found it even more wooden than the new x files personally, don't think I'll persevere with this one
Ira Gaines
The second episode left me a bit cold after a cracking first. Being only a few episodes long means that I don't have to persevere for too long if it gets too shite, so will see it though. There's promise there early though. welshbairn
I thought the first episode was the best thing I've seen on the BBC for a while, watching the second tonight. Maybe it helps if you've read the book to understand where the Porter's coming from.
Zen Archer (Raconteur)
Great penultimate episode tonight. Corky got his comeuppance, what an actor Tom Hollander is.
The_Kincardine
The first episode was cracking but then it went through a lean spell. The 5th episode recovered the series. Can't wait* for the denouement. *Well clearly I have to.

pandarilla
Belter of a finale. I thought it was good but not as good as I was hoping. Expected a big, twisty finish. Still, best thing on tv for the last couple of months.

Still, best thing on tv for the last couple of months. I've downloaded it but not yet watched it. Both Happy Valley and Shetland were great series with shite endings. I'm not expecting much. Boghead ranter
Right at the start Mrs Ranter and I were discussing who we thought might get bumped off - my pick was Roper's burd. Half way through my prediction looked good, unfortunately couldn't last the distance.

Exactly this, on all counts. It had a fairly unbelievable story, but was thoroughly enjoyable throughout.
Kmeister
If you read the book the ending is completely different. In the book it was like John Le Carre had ran out of ideas and came up with a pretty crap ending. And Burr is a man in the book. The television series was better than the book which is a pretty rare event.

The_Kincardine
Well I enjoyed the way that was finished and Hugh Laurie stole the show. OK so it was a bit schmaltzy but better than I'd expected. I hadn't recognised Neil Morrisey, though, and only noticed he had a part when looking at the credits. He's a couple of years younger than me but clearly not ageing well!
