WrestleMania 32

The biggest event of the year is almost here, WrestleMania 32! Held this time around at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, it's a possibility that WWE will break the WrestleMania attendance record. Vinnie Mac will have to pull out all the stops for his biggest show ever.

The Rock announced that he would be a part of the show, he still hasn't specified what his involvement will be. His Raw segment led to absolutely nothing.

Fastlane was not the last stop on the road to this event. There is still a WWE Network event due on March 12th, WWE Roadblock. Unlikely to see much, if any build on there but you never know!

Unfortunately as fans of Wrestlemania we have to suffer through lame musical numbers from artists that absolutely nobody cares about. It feels like we're due a new medley from Flo Rida as he hits us with another official theme, 'My House'. He'd have some balls showing up after the embarrassment he was a little while back on Raw against Bo Rida in a rap battle.

Another official theme, from The Game's good pals. (RIP Lemmy)

Motorhead - Sympathy for the Devil.

Here are the other Official Themes:

Flo Rida (ft. Jason DeRulo) - Hello Friday.
Avenged Sevenfold - Hail to the King.

Fifth Harmony are confirmed to be opening the show with America the Beautiful.

I only dip in and out of wrestling, but is Shane O Mac really coming back? That's great news if it's true (although it could end up being a pissing disaster too).

If they really go for this match, I think it'll actually be alright as long as they don't lean on interference too much. Shane has proved that he'll do pretty much anything in a ring, and he's never been a particularly athletic masterpiece, so won't need to reach that level in training. Has he been back since the PG era began? If not, will they let him really let go in Hell in a Cell under those rules?

HHH vs Reigns is going to be a car crash. I can't see any other way. I've seen it said that WWE will have to be extremely clever with their story-telling to make the fans cheer Roman Reigns in the five weeks remaining. Do they have that in them? HHH comes to the ring last night, in his attitude era leathers, and beats the shit out of Reigns. But all that does is show how good a character HHH can be, compared to the bland Reigns. Combine that with the fact that HHH is presumably going to come out at Takeover Dallas and take the deserved applause, he's going to go into Wrestlemania cheered to the rafters. And he'll lose. It's going to be awful.

Lesnar vs Ambrose I think will be brilliant. Hard to call who'll win too - a straight wrestling match, you can't see beyond Lesnar, but with a street fight it's a little closer. I trust these two to make a no dq match in the PG era look brutal enough to be entertaining.

I'm fine with Shane facing Taker. Like others, I suspect he may sub someone else in his place or have someone in his corner to help - probably The Rock or Cena.

I would love to see Owens face off against Wyatt for the IC title but I'm not sure how that would work as both heels. Owens is a great heel and they won't turn Wyatt obviously. Might need a 3rd person involved as a face to have some sort of balance to the match storyline wise.

If you add in a multi man ladder match, triple threat womens and Owens vs Wyatt then the card is actually looking pretty good

Okay. Those three matches, in a row, make this look good already. I'm still very sceptical about Shane/Taker but it's likely to be overbooked to f**k, and as we seen from HHH vs Sting, those types of matches can be a lot of fun regardless of who's involved, and no doubt Shane will be willing to do something really daft.

It wouldn't surprise me if he goes off the cell roof via a last ride.

Nothing like that will ever happen in the WWE again unless it's into an area which is cordoned off to break the fall considerably. The head, neck, brain injuries of the last few years have absolutely put paid to that forever.

Still think Taker will tell Vince where to go and side with Shane on Monday's raw. Vince announces Cena as his pick.

Cena would then be siding with the authority though, which would make very little sense given his history. Unless they go down the "I had no choice" route, but in that case I think Taker would be better staying where he is.

I could see him doing a controlled fall from the top of the cell, or from the side high up. They could set it up to reduce the danger. But it's still unlikely. There's no way he'll get a move done from the top. Maybe they'll put some nice plateglass at part of the set so Shane can repeatedly request he's thrown against it, then once through it.

Anyone with the idea that Shane isn't wrestling at Mania needs to get that idea out of their head. You're going to be disappointed.

Yeah the more I read up on it he is definitely fighting and has been in training for the past year. No coincidence the Shane-O leaks and rumours we have been seeing the past year either.

Presumably if Sting hadn't gotten injured we would have seen Sting/Taker at Mania - any chance Sting pops up and smashes taker with the bat to get Shane to win? Taker can dominate Shane in the cell and then Sting pops up decks taker, Shane jumps off something high and wins. Would at least give Sting's time in WWE a bit of a purpose other than just losing to HHH/Rollins and then getting injured.

Bit sad they don't have any proper plans for Wyatt at Mania. All the injuries they've had this year and he still can't push up into the main event scene. Not easy to sell yourself as the "eater of worlds" when you can't get past the likes of Ryback.

It's all gone a bit quiet on the Sting front, but the last we heard his neck was pretty fucked. The last time we saw him in the ring, he almost collapsed paralysed. If he's healthy enough to appear, they could have him do that, but if they're not 100% that he can have another match, they'd be shooting themselves in the foot. It'd tie things up nicely, but can't see it.

I feel really sorry for Wyatt. He's not the greatest worker, but he's far from the worst. And yet he has this ludicrous booking where we're supposed to fear him, and think he's this monster heel, before he inevitably jobs to whoever his opponent is. Has he ever won a feud? If Strowman does get this mega push this year, and Wyatt stays the same, then I feel even more sorry for him.

Shane surely won't be going over the Undertaker at Mania. That would simply be ridiculous.

I'll probably change my mind as the build goes on, but I think Shane will win. It sounds ludicrous I know, but just see it happening.

He beat Bryan when Bryan was at the height of his popularity and they were trying to focus on Orton Bootista for the main event. Classic WWE logic.
