Our home record is ninth best in the league. That's a positive angle on it. Our goals-for record is tenth best in the league at home. And of our twelve home games we've not scored in six of them.

Meanwhile, East Fife's away record is second best in the league and goals-for is the very best, aided by the league's top scorer. What can possibly go wrong.

Never mind Woods and McLeish we need Roy Race wearing Billy's Boots

Great result today for QP! Great to see Woods back in the starting line up. Thought Bradley made some difference when he came on.

First half was pretty poor, too many punts up the park but felt second half was a lot better and actually played more passing football.

Another game of two halves but this time the first half was decent and the second was outstanding. We looked a bit dysfunctional at times in the early session but, finally, the standard we know these guys are capable of came rushing out the tunnel and kept going to the end.

Bringing Bradley on at half-time changed the tempo up front and we started pressing EF as they had done so well to us in the first. Carter's goal was impressive as he stepped away from the goalmouth stramash and perfectly balance himself to smash the ball through the crowd. After that is usually when we wobble but the defence stood strong and the midfield continue to push high up the park. As we looked to comfortably see the game out, Duggan came in for Carter with probably a brief to chew up time but the big fella had his own mission.

First, he chased a lost cause down the left before cutting in with a 1-2 off Woods to open up a create chance in front of goal. His direct shot found the goalie and frustration was the only prize. On the next play he again chased a ball into the left corner on a 1v1. The rest of the EF defence had stalled but Woods decided to keep wandering towards goal and somehow Duggan won the ball and struck it low across the box for Woods to finish perfectly. If that wasn't enough, another rerun of the tussle saw Duggan win again, this time keeping his feet and rushing in from a tight angle to finish the goalie's day with a nutmeg from a narrow angle.

Everyone had a good shift today but a few deserve special mention. McGeever was immense at the back, a real winner. Carter had another selfless, high-energy performance that ran the EF defence ragged and topped his day with a great goal. McKernan had his best game in the Hoops and I hope he gets encouraged to play that high up the pitch every week. Duggan's spectacular two minutes proves he wants play this game. Woodsy, whilst not flawless, showed a lot more today of the trickiness we loved last year and his instinctive run for the goal says to me he wants to win too. Last but definitely not least; Vinnie Berry. So many good things happen when Vinnie's on his game. Completely outstanding today.

More than any individual there was a gutsiness about today that we haven't seen for a while. Great to see. Same again next week please.
