rhliston
Thanks for kind wishes...can we extend our thanks for denying Annan a full 3 points this afternoon? Cheered us all up a bit. No problem only wish it was 3 points for us, instead of just the 1 point but hey better than nothing.
Cosmic Joe
Too many of our players had off days yesterday - very disappointing, but we were probably due a bad day at the office after a great run. One thing I can never get my head around at Hampden is why they stick everyone in one end of the stand, level with the penalty area. What would be the problem with opening up a section near the half way line?

You'd be amazed at how many fans say they have had a bad day at the office when they play QP The centre stand is reserved for season ticket holders. Next out is Section P where The QP fans sit. So they put the away fans in the next available section. Whilst QP owns the ground it is operated by a facilities management company who are responsible for stewarding/catering etc. I suspect some kind of crowd management plan is in place for internationals and cup ties and unfortunately no-one in the Yellow Robot company has the initiative or authority to make a sensible decision on league match days. Both sets of fans enter the same turnstiles, use the same toilets, shop at the same piestand and move freely about the concourse but we can'sit closely together. Stewards! What can I say. It's only in the past seven or eight years that we've had segregation, aside from games against teams who were bringing a few hundred fans. Might well have been the season where we were promoted and we just stuck with it. It would work better if we were over in the North Stand where there's an actual segregation fence in the middle of the pitch. Having said that, I think the moaning about the view is a tad overblown. I was over in that area for the Sevco and Clyde games, when the home section was extended, and thought the view was OK.

I just don't understand that 500 fans rattling about in a 52,000 seater stadium shouldn't at least be given the best seats available...
shawfield shed boy
The view for away fans is rotten. Stuck in corner. Neither behind goal or centre with pitch. Truly horrible

1320Lichtie
Agree with the above 2, what about opening the north stand for fans instead? Surely wouldn't be much more hassle? Get everybody at the half way line?
the_bully_wee
The short answer would be that opening all the facilities in another area of the stadium requires too much of the money which is required to pump into the first team squad. ScottR96
Hampden Park is a national embarrassment. It's befitting that QP play there.
an86
The view for traveling fans is pish!!! No argument! The view is adequate. Not brilliant, but not dreadful. Personally, I'd have you over in at the corner of the North and East stands to keep the stench and threat of the Ebola virus as far away as possible. Cosmic Joe
In all seriousness, wouldn't Lesser Hampden with a bit of redevelopment be a better option? If QP got a big draw in the cup they could take it across the road. Would save the pitch taking a battering as well...

Selfish really when you think that some clubs don't even have one.

If QP got a big draw in the cup they could take it across the road. Would save the pitch taking a battering as well... If you're a player at our level and you have the chance to sign for QP and play at Hampden every second week but get no money, then you might still be prepared to jump at the chance to do it. Hence we get guys like Vinnie Berry and Paul Woods sign for us rather than train on public parks and turn out at Broadwood (soon to be Shettleston) / Cliftonhill or whatever. QP would be lunatic to move to Lesser. As for the pitch, that's the SFA's responsibility and they should take it a bit more seriously. It's not as if the pitch has been overused this season but it's dreadful. There's a game on it every two weeks, plus about 5 others in between, and it's a disgrace. You could always just bump up their expenses to compensate? Plus, Hampden would be a decent backdrop tbf.
