Tough metch.

We're guid now but it looks like Ray will be tinkering with the team for Tues night against the worst chaps on earth - could this disrupt our momentum or is it a smart psychological trick to preserve it?

Saturday's game should be tight. Is it fair to say Smurn are a bit grittier and uglier under Rae but more likely to stay in the game til late on?

I foresee 2-1 with a fairly late winner, but it's anybody's

Yes, completely fair to say that.

We're still shit, but are now at least well-organised, with a bit more experience in our ranks. Of our next two games, I'd say this one and Falkirk at home are equally difficult for us, especially as our home form remains so suspect.

Goodwin didn't start against Rangers, so I'd assume he's no closer to a start for this one, which is a shame. I'd assume that we'll go with the two-up-front, though (Clarkson and Shankland), that we've gone with in the past couple of games, including at Ibrox.

With last nights game now out the way, let's get back to winning ways against Smurn.

Lineup should be fairly solid with suspensions being finished, I'd opt for this XI;

Cuthbert

Thomson Toshney Bene McKeown

Connelly Matthews Robertson Craigen

Harry P. Hardie

2-1.

Strongest Line-up we have.. Stewart to come on later on against some tired legs..

We are more likely to smash and grab a result now where as before we were the ones getting just smashed really. Although I don't think Raith were that much better than us in Paisley when you's beat us 2-1. We equalised right on half time out of nothing then in the 2nd half should have scored a couple and Daly scored his usual goal against us.

This league isn't about fancy attacking football, for the majority of it its about rolling the sleeves up, working for your team mates and taking a chance if you create it or more likely force a defender into a mistake. Our players have finally got to grips with that but its too late, unless we can win on Saturday then it might not be too late.

I think the problem for Goodwin is it has been a winning formula recently and Alex might not want to disrupt that. I thought we might have seen him start at Ibrox but fair play to him he started with 2 strikers.

Worryingly for Jim is his contract us up in a few months time and he hasn't really had a chance to impress the manager on the park, although I think Alex must have been taken aback when Goodie declared himself ready to play after more than 3 months out with a broken ankle and not 1 training session under his belt at the time.

Just over 16 years ago, wow I feel old. Nearly didn't survive Junior's goal, ended up bouncing down about 6 rows of seats and nearly broke my neck. Utter scenes.

Raith had a good team then. Had guys like Alex Burns, Tosh, Marvin Andrews, Craig Dargo, Didier Agathe.

I seem to recall we were cheated somehow!

The red card was never a red card in those days, plus for our second goal Raith had about 3 players down injured in the middle of the park and we had one guy injured. A goal like that would never happen in the modern era.
