Gaz FFC Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 This fourth place is a piece of piss. Please beat Hibs in the 3rd v 4th playoff
Gaz FFC Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 BBC Scotland reporter started off by saying "well deserved victory for Raith", the stats then showed Saints had 53-47 possession, 16-8 shots on goal, 8-5 shots on target, and more corners to Saints as well. I know stats can be deceiving in isolation, but those stats and a single goal victory make it look a lot closer than "well deserved". Saints fan greeting again. What a shocker. Welcome to our world Raith

Scary Bear Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Great to see wee Hardie get a hattrick, he's highly rated by everyone at Rangers and I'm glad he's out on loan developing instead of playing in the develoment league. It will be interesting to see how much goals he can score from now till the end of the season for Raith. Hardie is quality. Only 18 as well.

The guy rocks into hospitality, full kit and boots to accept his award and accepts his trophy with a mature appreciation. Thank you Ryan.
WSDR 88 Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Unbelievable match today! Echoing what's previously been said, it felt very much like that Dumbarton away game (which I was at, nightmare!). And also, Hardie was the difference. For 18 year, the composure and talent the boy has is nothing short of great. The linesman at the Railway stand should maybe take up that free eye test at SpecSavers... He had far to many shockers today.

eindhovendee Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 No shit. This is the worst Saints team I've seen in 25 years of watching us. Still though, Morton can't beat us. Oh Lexy! Embarrassment?

It was a well deserved victory, when does stats win you points I'll take that result everyday of the week.
Ro Sham Bo Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 If St Mirren had won that game we could have had no real complaints. They had most of the game and created plenty of chances.

As soon as the second went in, you could tell that the message was try to get the ball by any means possible, usually by getting it up the pitch. Not necessarily the prettiest or most effective.
grumswall Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 If St Mirren had won that game we could have had no real complaints. They had most of the game and created plenty of chances.nor could they seing as we put it in the net 4 times to their 3. Goals count. Possession shot attemps, attempts on target don't at the end of the day. Did Clanfield actually make a save today? I can't remember one at all.

You could argue we deserved to win because we took our chances but on the balance of play it was hardly well deserved.
Broken Algorithms Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Suoerb close control from Hardie. He noticed the boy going in with the slide tackle and gets a touch to take it away from him but not squander the chance. Brilliant.
grumswall Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 You could argue we deserved to win because we took our chances but on the balance of play it was hardly well deserved.but it was quite obviously a deserved 3 points for us. We scored more than them. We defended better than them. It's pretty simple really.
grumswall Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Great to see Hardie getting 3 goals, this lad has bags of talent. I do not quite get why Warburton let him go on loan and prefers Nicky Clark as our back up striker but I am glad to see him getting game time and getting in about the goals. it's better for his development to be playing every week. No point in him getting 10 minutes here or there when he can be playing 90 every week.

There is no reason why Hardie couldn't push for a place in your side with Waghorn being injured. Especially with the league all but n won.

Clark I think will be off in the summer, he gives a lot of effort but just isn't good enough. Warburton (I hope) is looking at a longer term view with several young players, letting them get games, build up experience and confidence, then hope that when they come back they'll slot into the team like Barrie McKay did. Good for us and good Raith. Especially if he scores against hibs.
