paranoid android
Time to give games to players that need games, and rest players that could do with a rest. Games for the likes of Hamilton, Oshaniwa, Juanma, Reilly, Cowie, McGhee, Kitchen, Smith, Zanatta, and maybe Beith. A wee rest for players like Walker, Buaben, and Nicholson. This time last season, we allowed a handful of players time off for early minor operations to give them time to recover for pre-season - might be good to do that again, if required. I'd like to think that both managers would send out the players to entertain and attack, but that's optimistic.
Dirty Debbie Harry
Would definitely like to see a few of the younger chaps get an opportunity but an absolute meh game otherwise.

CountyFan
Should be a fair travelling support* going to this one. Don't really care about the result, just going to get blotto and marvel at Tynie's glory. *by our standards

topcat(The most tip top)
With the other game in town kicking off at 12:30 If Hibs go to extra time it should finish just as we kick off. This could be one of the great Schadenfreude Festivals. If this happens then I hope our guests can get into the spirit of it too.
Currahee!
Surely nothing will ever top this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T17vmsTeCVU I know loads of fans hate Jamie Hamill but he took a pay cut and decked Adams.....He's a good guy. Anyway I'm not going as I'm on call and can't get a swap. I'm not bothered.

The Future's Maroon
You got that right Defender! I imagine this game will be the one our fans take along the beach balls etc etc Apart from the above totally meaningless game, so I also agree with the poster about making sure guys who haven't played much/still settling in//youngsters get a game. paranoid android
Beith, McGhee, and Hamilton didn't feature in the midweek u20s game, so it's possible they could make an appearance.
The Future's Maroon
On Jack Hamilton, I know Robbie has said he plans to send him out on loan next season and bring in a GK in pre-season. I don't get this myself, get him in our team next season and have Alexander as back up, Neil has been great but he is getting on a bit and his main duty is going to be coaching so let him do his coaching and allow Jack first team experience. If he is good enough for Scotland U21's then why loan him out, get him in the team...I would not be happy for him to get itchy feet if other (Premiership) clubs start saying they would give him a No1 spot while all we can offer him is a loan deal at a lower league club. Of course all of the above could be rubbish if Robbie has already spoke to him and Alexander about this and he is happy with the plan next season. If he is good enough, he is old enough....Craig Gordon proved that.
paranoid android
I think we need three 'keepers anyway - Alexander has been great, but he is knocking on a bit, and has made a few mistakes, if Hamilton isn't quite ready to step up, then a loan spell could help - certainly give him two or three games now to see how he does. Alexander won't be idle on the side-lines, if he's coaching. I think we had the Airdrie 'keeper on trial last season - don't know a thing about him. Probably be looking at a goalie from Europe. Insert Amusing Pseudonym
As meaningless games go, this is up there. Hopefully it's all out attack from both teams. As said, will be a good atmosphere if Hibs get papped out in the early game
The Future's Maroon
I agree about the three keepers comment, but I just hope we are not stalling his development. Good things have been getting said about Jack for a few years now, give him a chance I say...he should have been starting from the moment 3rd was secured (IMO). I maybe would have kept him out of the Celtic game, though, in case we were on the end of a heavy one. I mind with Gordon, he was back up to Moilanen - when it became clear that he wasn't up to it, Gordon was put in, and was good enough to take the opportunity. Hamilton won't be as good as Gordon, but few are. If Hamilton gets these remaining games, we'll get a better idea of where he's at at the moment.
