Troon v Irvine Meadow

I was talking tae ma old dad last nite and we were discussing a match that we went to circa 1995/96 at Troon It was Troon v the Medda. Now I said the reason we went was because Frank McGarvey was playing for Troon and I also told him that Robert Prttz was playing for the Medda. Could be a memory thing for the auld man - or am I mistaken ?

Could have been that McGarvey was playing with Troon. He was certainly with Shotts in the early 90's and could have gone elsewhere when Shotts were put out of the league around that time.

Pritz played for Pollok in 1998 for two years wasn't aware he also played for meadow?

I thought we were his only junior club?

Nope you could indeed be correct Prytz played for Medda and McGarvey had a short spell at Troon.

It did happen as I played in the game which Troon won 5-2 😆

I don't think he ever signed for Meadow, but I do remember seeing him playing a couple of games at meadow park as a trialist during that era.  By the way, he stuck out like a sore thumb.  Real class.
