HoppingMad
Apparently the Scottish FA Cup winners qualify for the Europa league. Presumably Hibs will once again bottle it in the final, leaving Rangers with European qualification. BUT when Rangers liquidated and were reformed in league two, a UEFA rule was in place that a club had to have 5 years of accounts to produce before being allowed to participate in European competitions, even then would have to be sanctioned by the SFA for first acceptance, so why is this rule not being adhered to, or is UEFA hoping Hibs prevent their intervention, lets remind uefa Hibs are always crap in Scottish Cup finals. Ira Gaines
Who said the rule isn't being adhered to? Has it been stated by anyone that they'll definitely be in Europe if they win the cup?

craigkillie
There isn't, and never has been a rule about needing 5 years of accounts. UEFA don't allow clubs to enter European competitions within 3 years of any "corporate restructure", and there may be a financial aspect attached to that, but it's three years, not five.
