1320Lichtie
It's not difficult at all. Timeline is clearly meant to be carried on from the previous one. Did he not say the family hadn't been on holiday to craiglang in 7 year?

We're nine years since the end of the previous series but sometimes it's hard to make out if those nine years have passed in Still Game world (which we presumably are given Bobby looks a lot older and Winston is half the size he was) or if we're carrying on as if this straight after the previous series finished. In Friday's episode, Victor said that he hadn't seen his son in seven years. This presumably is when he came back with the kids which he vowed to do after Victor pretended to be ill and wanted to see him. Last week though, Fergie said he'd only been married a year and was married at 21, despite Jack and Victor being his chauffeur and going to on his stag do years ago and Fergie himself looking more like being in his early 30s and certainly not the 22 he would be going by what he said. Stop overthinking it, for fucks sake.

This point was raised at the start of the series. If we do assume that nine years have passed then Jack and Victor would be in their eighties by now so the decision was made to keep them at around 75 and just ignore how much older Boabby looks. As the main cast are much younger than the characters they're playing you don't notice it with them. You just have to accept that they haven't got any older, for the same reason that Spider-Man has been a teenager since 1962.
smpar
There have been very few consistencies throughout all series, and it has never aimed for precise accuracy with regards to its continuity. Christ, look at the episode in series 5 where they're on the TV Show 'Blighty's Hardest Boozers.' That episode ends with about 30 members of a motorcycle gang circling the Clansman, presumably going in to kick f**k out of them. If that happened in this series, there'd be a P&B outcry that the next episode didn't start in the hospital with every cast member having broken bones after being beaten to a pulp by a bike gang.

Ludo*1
It wasn't the funniest episode but I enjoyed it considerably.
DrewDon
No surprise that Tam was heavily involved in just about everything positive contained in another very underwhelming episode.
Forever_blueco
Episode two was the strongest for me and thought it would have easily fitted in with any of the previous series , thought the series as a whole was ok however it never quite consistently hit the heights of the original run which is understandable . Only fools and horses had a similar issue with their spin off episodes after a bit off a gap from the original run
sam2304
Don't think it was the worst episode in the series, enjoyed the bit with Tam and the old woman buying the teapot. Also the bit with Isa leaving her flat was quite touching, knew she was going to come back out the lift and start gabbing again [emoji23]
19QOS19
Quite enjoyed it actually. More verbal comedy rather than physical this time. Good to see Tam and Navid feature more.
