I wonder if more a 4-3-3 works better with what we've got right now. Holt, Smith and Carey bring the 3 mid and Benji, Sidibeh and Kirk/Clark being the front 3.

What makes Saints appealing for him to leave Riga and come here? 

Is he just looking for a job he can use as a platform to get an opportunity at a higher level should he do well at Saints?

Sounds like the owners at Riga are a nightmare so he'll probably be desperate to get away from that, and he's always talked about loving Scotland and wanting to manage here.

I don't think he'd stick around a huge amount of time tbh, especially if a move up the ladder came about, but if he's getting a move like that then he's probably leaving us in a better position than he found us.

A manager using Saints as a springboard is absolutely fine by me, it'll means he's come in and done well.
