Plenty fans on social media complaining about our performance tonight.

Get tae f**k honestly.

Apparently it would've been better to lose 3-0 and be "entertained" (honestly, who's ever left a 3-0 game pleased because you've missed a lot of chances)

When people talk pish like that it makes me embarrassed to be a Saints fan.

No wonder we get stick for "Not being a football town" etc. Disappointing home support at times and half the folk who do turn up don't have a fuckin' clue.

Frustrated after a battling performance against a side with a wage bill of 59 million pounds a year. Few chances to win the game prior to Celtic scoring. Rode our luck at times with some good saves from Zander but you've got to have a bit of luck if you're to beat Celtic.

Folk suggesting we should have gone toe to toe with Celtic are dillusional.

On another night Joe would have headed that chance at the end into the net or one of Alston's shots from around the box would have found a corner.

“Your attendance is shit”

- Every Celtic and Rangers fan in Perth this season.

Maybe, just maybe if these guys didn’t suffer from small penis syndrome the attendances May be higher......

Oh because you have lower expectations everyone else is wrong? I don’t expect us to go toe to toe with Celtic, they have much better players, but I also don’t expect us to play for penalties from the off. If Hamilton did what Saints did many here would ridicule them. I expect us to be set up to try to get forward when we can, to be able to support front players. Not to play the ball up the park knowing that it’s coming straight back. It was Kilmarnock and Ibrox all over again. Only difference being Celtic missed sitters. One up has led to us being under pressure for almost 90 minutes. If playing one up then they shouldn’t be as isolated as Watt is every time.

The players who took the pitch on the whole played well, Clark was super, the defenders were excellent and the midfield players defended well. But we are out of the cup.

Thats brilliant. Absolutely mega stuff there. Would be good if they could point out anything that Beaton missed from us or awarded against Celtic that wasn’t a foul.

We could actually learn something from Celtic’s approach last night. Any time we looked like breaking they took a foul early-either in our half or just over half way-this preventing the possibility of us driving at their defence through the likes of Wright. Compare that to the incidents that led to the two free kick goals we’ve conceded in the last two weeks because we stood off and allowed the opposition to drive at our box before committing the foul to stop the attack far too late. Boyata was lucky not to be booked earlier and severs times he, Brown and others were called for going through the back of people. I don’t really recall an incident where there was any real controversy over a foul.
