AsimButtHitsASix
Been off for a while and, since I came back, been to enamoured with Hibs to check this forum. Usually one of these floating about but I never seen it?Player of the year: As good as Sevco have been there's not been a single player that sticks out. They've all done well going forward. I'll go with Kenny Miller as he does a lot of work that goes unnoticed that lets the other attacking players do their jobs. For Morton I'll go with Luca. He only played 20 games due to injury but our record with him seemed to be far superior to our record without him.Young player of the year: Barry McKay's went from being one of the worst players in one of the worst Morton teams ever to getting the Scotland squad so the answer's clearly Mark Russell.Signing of the season: McGinn. Made Hibs fans forget about Scott... whathisface? Diddy of the year: Steven Thompson. 1 goal this year? What a waste of a wage for a club that had a big rebuilding job onManager of the year: After looking at the league predictions where everyone said Morton were relegation material I'm tempted to give Duffy a shout. But Stubbs just won the cup with Hibs. Manager of the century surely.Best goal: Stefan McCluskey at Ibrox obviouslyBest match: Scottish Cup Final if we're allowing cup games. 2-2 draw v Sevco at Ibrox if not.Worst referee: Never saw enough games to judgeHighlight: Beating Hibs 3-0 or going 2-1 up at Ibrox. Or the injury time equaliser v Skunks at the MethadomeLowlight: Not beating that lot all seasonSum up each club in three words:The Rangers: Novelty wore thinFalkirk: Hibsed it upHibernian: Point. Laugh. ApplaudRaith Rovers: Done surprisingly wellGreenock Morton: Trust the DuffSt. Mirren: Jammy Paisley b*****dsQueen of the South: Disappointing and dullDumbarton: Sitting about parLivingston: Where they belongAlloa: Was always temporaryPhoto of the year
Broken Algorithms
Player of the year: Miller showed his worth despite his age for Rangers. Young player of the year: Barry McKay and a turnaround of unheard of proportionsSigning of the season: I'm going to be a bit biased, but I'd say Connolly for ourselves. Turned us from a team with no threat into one which seemed to score when needed. It'll be a miracle if he's back, but he was a joy to watch. Diddy of the year: Declan McManus, if only because we were told that he was going to be tearing it up in this league, before Morton exited the playoff race with a whimper. Manager of the year: Houston for defying expectations and getting top 2 and the playoffs finals. Best goal: Leahy for Falkirk against Livingston which was frankly absurd. Best match: Raith 3 - 3 Rangers - Stopping Rangers winning the league with the last kick of the ball. Worst referee: Struggling to remember any horror shows, but Euan Anderson denied us a clear goal against Rangers in our first meeting at Starks. Highlight: Playoff first leg and beating Hibs at Starks. Also the 4-3 win against St Mirren was a brilliantly entertaining game. Lowlight: Playoff second leg and Dundee United's conduct prior to the game. Subsequently deciding to appoint an underwhelming choice of manager. Marshmallo
Fawkurt Player of the year: Mark Kerr strolled it, his positional sense is excellent and he rarely makes a bad decision. Let the rest of our midfield play football. Young player of the year: Peter Grant was a colssus before his injury, superb in the air and reads the game like a seasoned pro. Won't be at Falkirk for long.Signing of the season: Danny Rogers started slowly but grew into a fantastic keeper. Has all the fundamentals to be first choice at Aberdeen from day 1 of next season.Diddy of the year: David Smith is murder. Enjoy him next season Raith fans, get used to the sight of a cross hitting the first defender.Best goal: Leahy away to Livingston was absolutely wild. Possibly the best Falkirk goal I've ever seen.Best match: Falkirk 3-2 Hibs in the playoff semi second leg. Absolute scenes at the second, never mind the winner.Worst referee: John Beaton is really bad, as is Barry Cook.Highlight: McHugh smashing in that half volley against Hibs.Lowlight: A toss up between losing 5-3 at home to Peterhead with a plumber scoring 5 goals, or losing 7-0 in Dingwall. Everyone else Player of the year: Would need to be someone from Rangers. Probably Lee Wallace for his consistency, and being infinitely better defensively than "the Blue Cafu". Waghorn impressed but spent a while out injured. Young player of the year: Barrie McKay nicks it ahead of Jason Holt due to greater consistency and turning it on in bigger games.Signing of the season: Toshney always looked solid for Raith when I saw them.Diddy of the year: Steven Thompson. Completely done.Manager of the year: Ray McKinnon if I'm not including Houston.Best goal: PassBest match: The Scottish Cup final, if I'm allowed it.Worst referee: Struggling to remember any horror shows, but Euan Anderson denied us a clear goal against Rangers in our first meeting at Starks. Highlight: Cummings missing from an inch out at Stark's Park then getting hauled offLowlight: Dumbarton fans kicking off at the merest mention that a bowling club isn't a great pub

The Moonster
Lowlight: Dumbarton fans kicking off at the merest mention that a bowling club isn't a great pub Aye, that's exactly what happened. Player of the year: Wallace.Young player of the year: McKay. Signing of the season: Aiden Connelly seems to have changed Raith's fortunes and was easily the best player on the park when they played us. Diddy of the year: Steven Ross Manager of the year: Peter Houston Best goal: Leahy at Livi Best match: For me, it was Dumbarton 2-1 St Mirren, the game we stayed up. Worst referee: Andrew Dallas. Highlight: Got to be the day we stayed up. Beating Hibs twice was nice too. Lowlight: Being beaten 2-0 away at Livi, horrid day.

Father Barrys Sign (Top Half)
Player of the year: Michael Duffy- quick, skilful and plenty endeavour. Would do really well in a better team and I expect a lot of interested clubs should Celtic put him on loan again. Signing of the season: Scott Gallacher by a country mile. Excellent goalkeeper who was fantastic in his 5 month spell. Will surely get a full time offer in summerDiddy of the year: Sorry Andy McNeil. After speaking to him over close season I was desperate for him to prove the doubters wrong. But despite a couple of decent displays it didnt happenBest goal: Chopra vs Rangers- a beautiful volley on the turnBest match: 1 0 vs Hibs towards the end of the season. Finally picked up our first win of the season and it was a deserved 3 points. Back 4 were all absolutely terrificWorst referee: No bad performances reallyHighlight: Jason Marrs goal against Rangers in the 1-1 draw, a great momentLowlight: 5 0 vs Dumbarton in the cup- a disastrous night from start to finish Everyone else Player of the year: Peter Grant and Martyn Waghorn were the two who impressed me most in terms of individual performances against Alloa. Signing of the season: Christian Nade at Dumbarton- the difference between comfortable safety and being dragged into a relegation fightDiddy of the year: Steven Thompson. Looked like he couldnt be arsed in every game I saw himManager of the year: A bit of a fud, but Houston has undoubtedly done a brilliant jobBest goal: Craigens volley for Raith Rovers against us in the 3 0 game at start of the seasonBest match: Falkirk beating Rangers, only because I saw it on TV
BallochSonsFan
From my own team point of view Player of the year: Could split it between Routledge, Wright and Buchanan. Those 3 were probably our most consistant. It's telling that we don't have any creative players amongst out best 3. Nade was excellent for us when signed in the window - a real difference maker - but those there did it over a whole season.Young player of the year: The great white hope for many Sons fans is that Donald McCallum will finally make a meaningful breakthrough. His excellent goal in the Scottish cup at home to Alloa aside, we're still waiting. So Jamie Lindsay. His game can be a bit one dimensional at times but he has a high work rate, never shirks and was generally very effective for us.Signing of the season: Nade. By a considerable distance.Diddy of the year: Mark Brown. Never looked particularly good for us and Ewings was rightly restored to the starting keeper role. Steven Craig runs him close.Manager of the year: McKinnon did really well for Raith Rovers. I'd give it to him ahead of Houston.Best goal: Garry Fleming's strike in our win over St Mirren that confirmed we would be staying up. If ever a goal deserved to mean something, it was Fleming's thunderbolt of a shot.Best match: Beating Hibs twice at home. Can't separate them.Worst referee: The clown we had in charge of the Falkirk game that was shown on BBC Dotaman.Highlight: Another season of Championship football confirmed. It's huge for a part time team to now be a well established part of the 2nd tier.Lowlight: Our lack of goals away from home. We were tragic. Guest Back Post Misses
Player of the year: Lee Wallace for me, our POY would be Danny RogersYoung player of the year: Barry MacKay, ours would be Sibbald. Tailed off but has hardly missed a game and had some superb games earlierSigning of the season: Henderson at Hibs by a mile, ours Danny Rogers Diddy of the year: Mark Oxley, probably the worst keeper in the league for meManager of the year: Warburton for the complete change in Sevco, Houston has also had a superb season. Best goal: Leahy's volley against Hibs in the play off game was the best because of the technique, the importance and occasion. Best match: 3-2 Victory v Hibs in the play off purely for the pandemonium at the endWorst referee: Crawford AllenHighlight: Hibs play off game 100%Lowlight: Not turning up at Rugby Park Sunday. Jan Vojáček
Player of the year - Perhaps controversial here, but Liam Henderson looked absolutely head and shoulders above everyone else in the league for me. Mental he can't get in a dross Celtic team. Honurable mention to Martyn Waghorn who I'm a big fan of. Young Player of the Year - Henderson again. Failing that Holt if he counts, he's quality and £65,000 is a stunning bit of business. Diddy of the year - Oh so many choices. Many have been taken, so in the interests of variety I'll go for Geoff Mitchell, Alloa's pre-season goalscoring sensation. Manager of the Year - Mark Warburton has done a belting job turning Rangers into a cracking footballing team. They can't defend however, and he lost the Cup final to Hibs so Peter Houston. 4 league defeats all season is remarkable, and they're hugely unfortunate not to be playing Premiership football next season. Best Goal - Any goal that Nade scored for us. In opposition Tavernier scored a belter in the 0-6 game. Best Match - 3-2 win over Hibs was pretty mental. When we went 3-0 up I thought I'd taken an eccie and was in a weird dream Worst referee - Andrew Dallas. By an absolute mile Highlight - The 2-1 win over St Mirren at home with the Swiss Sons in attendance Lowlight - Losing just about every away game. The 6-0 to Queen of the South or the 0-6 to Rangers were pretty bad too 3 words Rangers - Lost to Hibs Falkirk - Late McHugh Goal Hibernian - Shambles to Yas Raith - Quietly very decent Morton - Forgot they played St Mirren - Ian Murray lol Queen of the South - Lost in Dumbarton Dumbarton - Reliant on Nade Livingston - Deckys in Barlinnie Alloa - Jack Ross
