I'd probably be for 32 teams as well, even if it would mean we'd get some absolute haddies at the tournament (lolz Scotland ahahahahahaha...ha).  I hoped that the third placed teams going through would mean that they'd be more attacking to try and get that win that would almost certainly secure qualification, but it's not really worked out that way.  If we did go to 32 we'd lose that and could go to a straight 2 through.  But would we just get a group stage where teams like, say, Germany and Italy get seeded one and two, and get drawn against teams they absolutely murder?  I know it's never usually that simple, as some sides have shown at this tournament, but the quality of teams qualifying would diminish.
