Deeboy
The loopholes are there to be exploited. Faced with the same opportunities I'd guess a high percentage of us would do the same. Meh got caught, the state got their money plus extra in fines. There's really no reason for the prison sentence, as he's worth far more out of jail to them than he is in. A feeble attempt to make an example of him.

You'd kill your gran for a gram of decent Chi, yet you wouldn't be looking to send money offshore to avoid paying tax on it? Seems legit. Just because they were caught and prosecuted doesn't mean it isn't a loophole. People were getting prosecuted for selling legal highs. Legal. Falcor Roar
If I had countless millions I think i'd just pay my taxes tbf.
bullywee
What if you could count your millions, though? The reality here is that, although millions can seem like quite a lot, in relative terms it's actually quite a small number and therefore easy to get your head around. If Messi had a salary similar to Grahams Number then I'd be more inclined to refer to it as countless.
MONKMAN
This case dates back 9 years to his early 20's, when he wasn't as monumentally rich as what he is now (Forbes estimate wealth at $350 million). He may well have been hiding a few million in South America, then again he may have known nothing about it. He paid the tax and got a slap on the wrist, which in this case was 3.5 million euro fine on top of the 5 paid in taxes. One thing's for certain though, the boy can play football.
