DA Baracus
Most of us have surely seen the brilliant contract signing video between 'Broken' Matt Hardy and Jeff 'Brother Nero' Hardy, but they've massively topped that with their latest opus, The Final Deletion. Quite simply it's one of the best things ever in wrestling. It's breathtakingly stupid and incredibly entertaining, hilarious, bizarre and downright fun. I can't remember laughing so much at a wrestling video in a very long time. [media]
DA Baracus
This is amazing. Highlights for me include Matt ruining Jeff's lawn, Jeff doing a swanton from a tree, Matt telling Senor Benjamin to prepare the battle for MASSACRE!, Matt speaking to Jeff from Vanguard 1, both of them using fireworks as weapons and Matt's reaction to Senor Benjamin's present for Maxell. Ira Gaines
Yeah, this is the sort of shit that makes me happy to be a wrestling fan. Absolutely fucking bonkers. Great fun.

This. The reaction videos were all over youtube last night, but surprised to see some get a bit po-faced about it. Brian Zane from Wrestling With Wregret I expected to be like that, but I largely agreed with what he said. The WhatCulture guys on the other hand seemed to be a bit haughty about it "do they know this is shit?" and acting like it was the worst thing they'd ever seen. You know what though? This is the most fun I've had watching something wrestling related in a while. It was over-the-top (knowingly so), ridiculous, but it was brilliant. Only negative was one that Zane said, that it should've been longer. I would've loved to have seen what they could come up with given another ten minutes. For all TNA gets a lot of abuse for being shit - because it is most of the time - this angle proves that if you give two talented people some freedom, they can make something that will draw attention to your product. Some may say it's bad attention, and that it just reinforces how bad TNA is, but they are clearly joyless husks. They mixed the ridiculousness with some pretty dangerous spots (that ladder hit looked nasty, and they were firing live fireworks at each other) My only hope is that WWE look at this and think about giving some of their talent a bit more freedom. I'm not expecting Styles to pin cena to a Cathryn Wheel or anything, but this video just showed how fixed and homogenised the WWE is. They're putting on great wrestling, and they'll continue to do it to a much greater standard than TNA will. But where's the harm in having over-the-top segments that are entertaining alongside those? It's supposed to be entertaining! I do wonder whether they might try something similar with the New Day and the Wyatts. Done right, a three on three down at the compound could be brilliant..oh...wait...done right...never mind
djchapsticks
This is meme worthy for years.....decades to come. The moment he mentions a wonderful xylophone you just know it's going to be extra special.

Jackie Daytona
Apparently the WWE guys got shown this on their tour of Japan and were in bits. This is the greatest event in the history of our sport.

honestly united
I watched impact for the first time in ages earlier this week and they had the build up to this, which I had no idea what was going on, Matt in a wheel chair, talking in a ridiculous accent about the final deletion, which all makes sense now after watch this, well maybe not sense but... This was superb, only thing I didn't like was the flickering between camera angles which was annoying, are they going to add commentary when its shown on Destination X? Takes the brawl in the parking lot, backstage corridor to a whole new level
DA Baracus
"Delightful! It's an extraordinary xylophone." "These events must be documented!" "Prepare the battlefield...for MASSACRE!" "Are you a licensed official?" "And now, I must summon the evil Enigma by playing this lovely violin, that I was personally given by my good friend Antonio Stradivari" "Daleet! Daleet! DAH LEEHT! "Brother Nero? Brother Nero?! OH SHIT!" Just glorious. I fucking love this. Oh, check out Matt's Twitter account. It's brilliant. His replies are genius. djchapsticks
Words can't describe my enduring love for this. Especially as Hardy has always been 'meh' as f**k. His version 1.0 stuff was decent enough but never anything other than that.
