C'mon The Field
Friendly Ashfield 2 v 0 West Park U21s Goalscorers; Giblin, Moulangou Good performance against a really tough West Park side who I am sure will do very well this season. Another win another clean sheet Kilsyth Rangers on Wednesday night will be a good test
FieldofDreams
A good and encouraging preseason so far for the Field - Kilsyth as a Super First team will be a good test.
C'mon The Field
Friendly Ashfield 3 v 5 Kilsyth Rangers Ashfield goalscorers; Lochhead, Kelly, Rodger From an Ashfield perspective we played some really nice stuff at times but naturally disappointed at goals scored against 4 of which could have been dealt with. Positive to see we can stand up against teams in higher divisions. Bit of work for a newly formed team but definitely not far off it. All the best to Kilsyth this season. wingnut
One of the best games I was at when Bonnyrigg beat Ashfield in the Scottish,2-1 down and scored 2 late goals to win 3-2.
C'mon The Field
Looking forward to seeing you again Glensmad. I have a lot of respect for yourself and the Glencairn staff, Wullie Harvey especially given I was just a young 21yr old when he was assistant at Rob Roy and he gave me a wee chance.... some 17 years ago! Anyway i still want us to beat you of course! Wingnut, wish I was part of that era hopefully this is the beginning of new Ashfield that can climb up the leagues and get some success. The application and desire of the new squad is something I've not seen in years. Fingers crossed but I have a hunch people might take some note of us now. Ewaninblack
Wingnut, I remember the Bonnyrigg game vividly - It was a belter of a Cup Tie. I recall a massive travelling support from the Rose and the disappointment at time up. I think the winner of the tie went on to play Bo`ness United. Heading along to Ashfield this afternoon to have a look at the new players - excited about the coming season. Always a good game v Glencairn - some cracking matches in the League over the years. BANKIEBILL
I was at that Bonnyrigg game ... they'd put us out the previous round in a game defined by the conditions unfortunately. The game at Saracen was a cracker though and I felt quite sorry for my pals at the Field for the manner of the defeat.

Nice comments, thank you. We did play well at times, but we were undone by two offside goals by Dymock. The second one was so far offside it was impossible for the referee not to see it. Ashfield defended very well all afternoon, and we were snuffed out by the tight pitch at times.Good luck for the season ahead.
