Did Martin Canning design New Douglas Park?

Because much like Hamilton's squad, it's horrendously ugly. The football ground equivalent to Canning's haircut.

Steve Wilkos, Head of Pie and Bovril Security.

It might be ugly, but it's about the best view from behind a goal you can get cos you're close to the pitch but high up, so it's great for actually watching matches live rather than looking at the stadium on the telly.

Compare it to the view away fans get at (from an away supporters viewpoint) third rate grounds like Celtic Park, Ibrox, Pittodrie, Hampden Park etc....

Having said that, building a couple of similar but smaller stands on the other two sides would improve the ground massively.

Best view in the top flight for away fans other than Tynecastle, IMO.

If we sort out the gazebo side, I'd be perfectly happy with it. That side's an absolute mess, but they've done well to make the Sainsbury's end look alright. New stands would definitely be pointless.

Was impressed by Hamilton today. Didn't treat the ball like a hot potato like most teams do when they go to Celtic Park or the Debt Dome.

If the ref hadn't been so card happy after Hamilton scored, they might have been able to challenge a bit more in the 2nd half.

Canning deserves huge credit for today's result. He got his tactics spot on. It's far to easy to be critical and spot flaws, but we need to give credit where credit is due. I though he outfoxed Wartburton today. An outcome I never expected if I'm being honest.

Great performance from us today, every player gave their all today.

I think everyone thought we'd sit in and play for 0-0, and I have to admit, I thought thats what Canning would go for, but no we played the ball about tried to get up and score and it payed off.

Huge credit to Canning, he got it spot on today. All the players played well, even Kurakins had his moments, still would like a replacement though. Gills had a great game, if he played like that every week, then we wouldn't be calling to sign a right back.

Looking for more of the same next week.

Are we really going to be this fickle all season?

You know, some of us are rather sick about our pathetic performance in cups. I've been going since 1980 and haven't even seen us reach a cup semi final. Only Morton, out of all the other so called middle ranking clubs, have been as poor in that time and that could change shortly. The performance last night was ridiculous. Was Brophy really injured or being rested for Saturday? A bit like Andreu's mysterious one game injury against Thistle a couple of seasons ago when we got papped out the Scottish Cup in November. And this League Cup was brilliant wasn't it, five games to go out in the 2nd round, we managed that in ONE NIGHT last season!

We will go nowhere with Canning in charge. We were decent on Saturday but Rangers were also pretty poor and not the amazing team some seem to think they are. We were torn apart last night and from front to back it was an absolute shambles. The only saving grace is the fact Killie look even more a mess than us the difference being they'll have the guts to change things where as we're stuck with clueless Canning for the foreseeable.
