Ah so if it is adjacent it't ok (like say Scotland and England or Britain to Northern Ireland).    Where in the definition of colony does it say that.

It is only adjacent to Spain because the Castilians and Aragonians stole it off the Moors.

Surely it's adjacent to Spain because it's...err, um...adjacent to Spain?

All colonialism is wrong, illegal and should be reversed wherever practically possible.  Gibraltar is pure colonialism, in the 21st century.  It's abhorrent, and the UK would and has gone to war over things like that.  It's just wrong, and literally only British people can't see it.

Catalonia is being held against its will, and is a territory controlled directly by another, the textbook definition of a colony.

Catalonias latest indy poll is 40% yes, and it's historically goes between 40-50 so I don't think you can say it's being held against its will.

And as for colonialism, who decides what is and what isn't colonialism?..should the billion people from the Americas of non indigenous decent leave?

Think what he meant was that the Emirate of Granada could have still been around:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emirate_of_Granada

although that doesn't really work as an argument because it was Spanish for a considerable length of time before it became British.

Media crackpot Christine Hamilton is on The Wright Stuff at the moment discussing stockpiling food. She claims we don’t need luxury items or fruit from Southern Europe; we can adapt what we eat and “stick with British apples”.

This barmy b*****d is the typification of the SOVEREIGNTY* at any cost Brexiteer.

* But not you, Scotland. Don’t even think about it.

It was Spanish but was Moorish a lot longer than it was Spanish.  And it has now been "British" longer than it was Spanish and the people living there seem to be happy to be "British".

My point is to claim it belongs to Spain because it shares the same peninsula or that colonialism is ok if you're the nearest Country to it like Pep has claimed is farcical.

Vote Leave adverts revealed by Facebook (there's loads more).  Pretty sure they used Philyerboots as a consultant.

Pleasantly surprised the Turkey one at least uses wee stick people SWARMING INTO BRITAIN rather than pictures of cockroaches or rats, tbh.

You should see the one about the polar bears.

The EU legalised unchecked slaughter of polar bears and provided millions of Euros in grants for hunting parties.

The only folk to oppose this in the European Parliament were British MEPs.

The top one (the Turkey one) is definitely meant to, on a subliminal level at least, meant to bring to mind the old maps of Nazi movements. The colour schemes are not coincidence.

That was my first thought with it as well, evoke memories of Britain and the war to appeal to a certain subset of the population. A very poor advert.
