Musselburgh Jambo
That was an incredibly bad interview from her perspective. Quality of politicians (party politics aside; more on professional capability) generally in Scotland is poor; but the Labour party unfortunately are the worst of the lot. You reap what you sow by treating the professional and intellectual development of a party in Scotland for decades.

She owed her position to bad timing and the collapse of the party in Scotland. At best she probably thought she was destined to one day aspiring to parliamentary candidacy in a safe Glasgow seat - Maggie Curran was probably her role model: a braindead rentagob with a well-paid but untaxing job for life. Events overtook her and she ended up with a job she didn't want and is incapable of doing.

Colkitto
Seriously, she has dragged Labour in Scotland down to 15% in the polls and came 3rd behind the Tories in the last Holyrood election. Then you witness that total traincrash of an interview. How long can she go on?

I said as soon I as heard he'd slithered back onto the list he would be gunning for the inflated wage packet - sorry, the honour of leading the branch office. I suspect he's just been biding his time until enough people are willing to knife Dugdale for her sheer incompetence and stupidity that his desire for her place won't be too obvious. It was clear he wouldn't go for the job prior to Labour's Holyrood pumping (much better to chalk that up to Dugdale); my guess is he'll hold on until after the council elections, hoping that will be one bloodbath on wee Kez's copybook too many. If it is, he'll make his move as the natural saviour. Because f**k going back to putting your hands in proles' mouths for a living, right?

BFTD
I still can't believe she's in any kind of position of prominence in a major political party. These interviews must be utterly humiliating for her personally, assuming she has any sense of pride, so you can only assume she's being poked out in front of the cameras with a pointed stick.

BFTD
They're still a big deal; they're just going through the same directionless wilderness years that the Tories went through under Hague/IDS/Howard. It'll be interesting to see what form they take when the Tories once again become too obviously vile for most folk to vote for. Kez won't have anything to do with improving their fortunes, anyway.

happysouth
Her last visit was with Jo Coburn and she got a fairly easy ride. Although it wasn't the love fest that Ruth Davidson had a few weeks before. It's Andrew Neill today which should mean a shredding but we know how much he hates the snp so who knows. (Although I I think he loves an open goal more than he hates the nats so popcorn on standby).
Colkitto
Watched the Ponsonby interview and she is now resorting to sound bites. Totally incapable of answering questions, just repeating the same mantra over and over again. Ponsonby even said "this is the 4th time of asking you" and still didn't get a reply. You can't get away with that forever. She looks under pressure and probably knows her time is up - assuming she has any self awareness at all.

She just highlights the fact that anyone with a semblance of intelligence willing to put in a lot of hard graft can obtain a Degree in Law if they so wish. invergowrie arab
I actually feel a bit sorry for her that no one will touch the job until after May's ragdolling in the council elections. She will know she is a dead woman walking.
