Fox News has twisted that. She didn't get kicked off the plane for berating a Trump supporter. She get kicked off the plane for causing a scene.

She get kicked off the plane for causing a scene...which was her berating a trump supporter - surely?

Trump has signed an order blocking foreign aid or federal funding for any nongovernmental organisation that provides abortions abroad.  His religious nutter supporters will be whooping and hollering without giving any thought to what this could mean for some women.

This.

Trump and his media are adamant that there was a bigger crowd at his inauguration than that of Obama. Every single strand of evidence tells us that simply isn't true. So what do we get? "Alternative facts".

I hope the mainstream media hound his every step after this start. Someone from The Rangers should get in touch with his media people to help set out in depth how to make a total c**t of it.

My fellow 'Muricans and supporters. This great nation of ours stands at the crossroads, where we are surrounded by our enemies, who are only too ready to spout their vile abuse and heinous lies. Not to mention "facts". ("I said not to mention 'facts' " DT)

But we must stand strong, and not allow ourselves to be goaded. We must show restraint, and refuse to be baited by their piffling "facts".(I've already said not to mention 'facts'" DT)

We shall overcome these illegal, brown skinned immigrants, and throw them over the wall, once the chicanos build it for us.

Bring out the pitchforks, light the torches, don the white pointy hats and forward to glory! Remember The Alamo!

I do hope none of them end up with a relative who finds out they're pregnant following rape.

But what were all those women protesting about? Especially the foreign ones who will absolutely not be influenced by Trump.

Few people saying that they don't want women's rights taken away? What's Trump going to do in regards to that?

Yeah, where could anyway get the idea he'd do anything to threaten women's rights?

It's a bit like Section 28, banning something that doesn't happen. In this case something that's already illegal. This is from an pro-life website, worth reading carefully.

Quote

U.S. law prohibits foreign aid paying for abortions. But under an executive order by President Obama, tax dollars can go to international groups that provide and promote abortion. While the money cannot be spent to do abortions, paying for items like overhead, advocacy and materials frees other money to be spent on abortions.

Trump was pro choice a couple of years ago BTW.

It's not really banning something that doesn't happen then.  If funds to cover overhead are cut it and overhead costs have to be met from other income that would be spent on services then that's likely to affect the level of service offered.

This seems to impact not on just organisations whose primary function is to provide abortion or support abortion rights but on any organisation that includes advocating abortion rights though that organisation may have a far wider role in women's health rights, particularly sexual health.

I don't deny it's damaging, it's a lie about stopping funding abortion though, with two purposes, cut the aid budget and con the Evangelicals.

Trump has fulfilled his promise and withdrawn the US from the TPP which is good news.
He should stop the TTIP negotiations as well.

Smoke and mirrors, TPP was never going to get through Congress.  Will be interesting to see his position on TTIP which I think will be rejected by the EU anyway.

Any executive order he signs still has to be ratified by Congress.

At some point some Republicans will turn round and say no to his more hair-brained plans.

I suspect the real battle will come if he truly does try to move the US down a protectionist route.

Yeah the whole protectionist stance is so at odds with the Republican Party ethos; should be fun.

Just watched the whole speech he gave to the CIA.  15 minutes of vacuous, platitude filled, self-absorbed nonsense.  Anyone at Langley going along to try to get an indication of policy would have been sorely disappointed, unless he really does plan to invade Iraq again and keep the oil this time!

Imagine going along to meet CIA personnel and congratulating yourself, talking up your cabinet picks and complaining about the media.

While standing in front of a wall remembering CIA men and women who had died for their country. Trump got out of the Vietnam war by pretending he had a sore foot.
