Is " misspoke " the new word for talking Bullshit ?

More likely short form for "had a frank and robust exchange of views with several muscular gentlemen until I realised my terrible error".

Not bad to be able to get flown at the taxpayer's expanse to a hospital, be looked after by a dozen or so of the top doctors in the country and have access to the latest drugs. All for $750 a year.

Yeah, many US citizens who have had family and friends with this disease will look at the posse of medical staff who gave that press conference yesterday and compare it to the treatment their loved ones received.  More so for those who have witnessed a fatality from Covid.

In other news, polls from swing states over the last few days looking very encouraging.  If Biden takes Florida it’s all over.  Also Florida’s method of counting postal votes means that the result there will be known quite quickly.

Trump aside, US reports highest number of positive tests in two months.

More chance of a backlash for Trump’s cavalier attitude than a sympathy vote I think.

Turns out they were taken ten minutes apart and use the same props.  And in one of them, he’s signing a blank piece of paper.  His team are absolutely incompetent.   And there’d be no need for any of that if he was actually getting better.

Assuming that he emerges from this able to stand in the election, I wonder if all this will help his chances of winning.

Not really from a direct sympathy point of view, but if he’s incapacitated for a while, not tweeting, not making incendiary comments, etc then the motivation to get rid of him might not be as strong among independents - ie not voting rather than voting for Biden.

At this point, it's hard for even low-information voters to be genuinely independent.  As is usually the case, the independents will lean Democratic.  But your point about not voting is a good one.  If the Bernie Bros don't vote, then they deserve everything they get, and I speak very much from the natural Bernie camp there.  Of course, if the Democratic centrists can't muster a turnout sufficient by themselves, they too deserve a Trump second term.

Given the fact that 44 Million Americans do not have any health insurance, combined with Trump's oft repeated claims that he will make America great again, kind of begs the question as to who exactly will it be great for?

Indeed.  The Swamp.  Trump has nothing but contempt for the people who vote for him, and is every bit in bed with the military complex his apologists claim to oppose.
