Swello Posted December 29, 2016 Share Posted December 29, 2016 Hadn't clocked this thread until today and totally agree with the BT vs Sky stuff (cancelled Sky Sports last season for this reason) - but sadly, unless BT are prepared to pay a lot more for exclusivity, we are stuck with Sky's by-the-numbers pish, as the quality of their output is of zero concern to the SPFL. One thing that might work in our favour is that big telco's like BT (and AT&T in the US as an even bigger example) are desperate to get into the "content" business and so are investing a lot in becoming TV companies - BT probably want to expand their football coverage more and so may be prepared to knock Sky off their perch here (or at the very least push the price for the bit that Sky pay for up considerably).
