Interesting reading some of these comments while watching a feed with an all-Kiwi commentary team. They called the red for Sonny Bill straight away and felt that the yellow was fair enough for Vanipulo. They have also said that Murray has been playing well and that his kicking has been a lot more accurate this week. They've also praised Garces and I agree he's had a good game for the most part, applying the law in a more consistent manner than we're used to at all levels of rugby. Good kick by Farrell that time.

He's also missed a helluva lot along the way too.

What a game, fair play for coming back in such a manner despite the ABs relentlessly hammering them early on in the second half, albeit with a man extra.

You can't help but feel that in the third test NZ will come out flying and it could be a very, very different outcome.

And with that goes almost any hope of any Scots even getting the token sub appearance in the third test.

On the plus side we have a decider next week to look forward to instead of a dead rubber.

Would be tempted to include Russell but it won't happen.

Itoje has been superb. Sinckler should start and for life of me I can't remember Warburton doing anything. Tf been very good too

When was Itoje superb? Lions did nothing in the forwards, didn't win a turnover or penalty in the ruck all day.

The Lions only looked decent when they went to the backs and exploited the extra space.

Nah itoje was great at line outs carrying tackling and at rucks. Got through more work than either flanker.

The difference in performance from the Lions in the last 20 minutes was incredible. They started going expansive in a last throw of the dice when 9 points down and turned it round: will Gatland have the sense/courage to do so from the start in the last test? Surely to christ he has to leave AWJ out this time.

Was exactly why so many people were aghast at gatland appointment.

Or at least, the way Gatland set out his team to play.  The players are, with some obvious exceptions, largely the right ones, but the rugby is so wrong.  Can you imagine Townsend, or even Cotter, in charge of that group of players?  It could have been so, so good.  Instead of Watson having three touches all game, he'd get thirteen.  Instead of Murray box kicking like some kind of Rob Andrew automaton, he'd do more of the line breaks that make him so good for Ireland.  And, god forbid, a Scottish player might make the bench.

Eddie jones or schmidt had they fancied it would have been so much better.
