Nothing would surprise me anymore in that daft wee town

weirdcal
Should be charging ticket prices for this circus. We'd have nae money issues afterwards. Going to be great fun seeing if we can get to positive points by xmas

SandyCromarty
With Morrison gone Gardiner is on his own, probably making a case for compensation.

welshbairn
Find people who are realistic about the budget and don't chase magic money trees to compete with Uncle Roy.

The issue wasn't that they chased magic money trees, it was that they weren't competent enough to do it properly.
SandyCromarty
I am surprised that the company accounts haven't been submitted by the accountants,(whoever they may be)?, late submission will result in a fine but the consequences and penalties from the football authorities will be more severe. As for administration plenty of other clubs have came through it and survived, however given the seriousness of the financial situation the cut for us may be a lot deeper.
TheScarf
Yeah there’s a narrative here from fans of other clubs that were trying to compete with the old duffer up the road. It’s not that at all, it’s morons at the club making stupid decisions that have starved the club of valuable income from local businesses via various sponsorship streams. Trying to compete with MacGregor is financial suicide. There’s a guy happy to write off millions of pounds of debt as soft loans. There’s about 4 clubs in the country who have that privilege.

Going by that Courier article, in order for our accounts to be signed off, we needed Statkraft to pay us £350k for the option agreement for the park and ride scheme involving the use of our car park. Now that they've pulled out, probably after seeing that we're a shambles, we're on the park and ride straight to admin. And we might not even get a league licence for next season. It's a worry that Morrison has gone without him punting Gardiner first, should've been the other way round or both of them going at once. At least we're not going to Kelty though. TheScarf
Yeah Morrison didn’t even have the balls to sack his mate before he resigned. Basically saying ‘he’s not my problem, if you want rid of him someone else can do it.’
PB1994
Good news if the Kelty thing is getting called off but none of the other, arguably, bigger issues have been sorted and the club is in an even bigger mess. I presumed Morrison was funding us to stay full time in league 1. Have we got someone ready to come in and invest? Or does it mean actually going part-time or possible even Administration?
