TheScarf
On our friendly with Clach on Saturday, I wonder if that useless cunt Scot Gardiner will turn up.

He looked uninterested a lot of the time in 22-23 That purple patch at the end of that season will have significantly enhanced his bank account, he’ll have been on good money at Hibs

The reasons they put forward are valid as we are all too aware of the gulf between us and the club, however statements like this will not bridge the gap but instead possibly create more animosity. The lack of communications is presently abysmal but hopefully once Gardiner is gone steps will be taken by the board to rectify the situation. As for ST's I have already purchased mine.
RiG
Given how desperate we are for money it would be peak ICT if we've not bothered to at least offer MacGregor a contract to get a development fee like St Mirren did with Jay Henderson.

Oh I think you can be 100% that’s the case. The only way we can make money out of this is if Netflix get involved.
ICTChris
I get what the Supporters Trust are saying - they were told things would improve and that it was in hand but it is getting worse. The thing about all this is that the club are self sabotaging everything. If they’d announced the new squad as it stands now, people would have been pleased with it. It’s what people expected when we got relegated, it’s what a lot of people wanted and got behind. Fans are actually desperate to support the team but the board just want the fans to f**k off, because they were against the Kelty scheme. However, the Trust can’t just turn boycotts off and on like a tap. They should have said to the club - we want updates and communication through us, we want to be included. We will canvas our members, we have lots of new people, we will work with you etc. maybe they did say that, Who knows. But it seems that they are still being treated as an outside pressure group.
ICTChris
Ryan Esson confirmed as leaving - again his contract expired and he wasn’t contacted by the club. Sixteen years with us as a player and coach, cup winner, promotion winner, coached a load of the lads we are going to be relying on this year. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/inverness-caledonian-thistle/6513795/ryan-esson-on-his-caley-thistle-exit/

How can this happen so many times, why would nobody phone or get in touch with these people. It’s just incredibly weird and strange to let something like that happen to anyone never mind guys with service like that

Agree, we had a standoff where we said no ST's and no gate footfall if you go with the move to Kelty, the club capitulated and we move on. The lack of communication is nothing new as we've had it for the last few years, so to demand no ST's again for a problem we are more than aware of is not helpful. Where does threats like this end? We won the day, nobody likes to back down but it happened so to further antagonise.......................................................................................................................
SandyCromarty
Sad to read of the loss of Ryan Esson as he is the type of experienced coach we really need right now. I wish him all the best and Thank him for his great service to the club.
welshbairn
The trust should have insisted on a place on the board before agreeing to anything, this backtracking makes them look amateurish. P. S. Have to say that @virginton was the first to point out this obvious mistake on the Trust's part. Edited June 25 by welshbairn

It ends when the club treats long serving players with some decency and fans with a modicum of respect and less like inconvenient peons that they disdain.
KirkieRR
Aaron Doran interviewed at length by John Beattie on Radio Scotland Drivetime tonight. Caley board contacted for comment but 'no one was available'.

That’s because it’s exactly what they are. There was a reason it hardly had any members before this year. Mainly as it didn’t do anything at all. Loads of folk joined after the Kelty thing was announced just to join together. Probably being a bit harsh on the folk running the trust as they are just fans doing this on top of full time jobs but even the meeting at the Caley club wasn’t particularly well run at all.

It’s just incredibly weird and strange to let something like that happen to anyone never mind guys with service like that It's quite possibly because, as @ICTChris mentioned, the board and CEO are in a huff over the Kelty move that was rebelled against so strongly by the ICT support and roundly criticised by so many others. I'm coming round to the opinion that they've decided to just go "F'ck it" and are now actively trying to make things worse. No communication with the players. No communication with the fans. No communication with the (local) press. All because their daft little scheme to move our day to day operations to Kelty didn't work out for them. Oh, and we've apparently signed Cameron Ferguson as well for peak lols. So long as Gardiner and Ferguson remain at ICT I won't be putting a penny into the club.
Broken Algorithms
Really shit optics that the club can contact players to get them in to model new kits to be sold but not those out of contract. Unless the kit photos were done earlier in the year, but you'd expect that's not the case.
TheScarf
The kit pics were taken a week last Thursday.
ICTChris
I had thought earlier in the summer that the radio silence was due to the fact that the people still there were probably working on handovers to potential new investors etc. however, the stuff that’s happened in the last few weeks really indicate that this isn’t the case. There’s no overhead or cost to posting a lot of new contracts on the club website. There’s no overhead or costs to phoning or meeting Ryan Esson and Aaron Doran to let them know they aren’t being kept on. As @TheScarf said several directors live in the same village as Doran. The interview that Graham Bennett gave to the Courier really indicates the thinking - “we’ve done our bit, we’ve chucked out Kelty, now buy season tickets and shut up”. The board just have no understanding of what fans actually want and they seem to hold everyone in contempt. It’s just utterly miserable being a fan of this club at the moment and has been for years with minor moments of brightness.
