The Grass Is Greener.
If McGinn goes we've surely got to get Henderson in? Not ideal losing McGin but Henderson will soften the blow big time.

Arch Stanton
Jackson Irvine has just gone for £2M and McGinn is a far better player. Would have to be at least £2.5M for Hibs to even consider selling.
Zing.
So they've likely gone from 750k to 1 mill. We'll probably deal at anything from 1.5mill upwards I'd reckon.
The Other Foot
If we are holding out for a bajillion pounds for McGinn, and Hendo is being touted at 300k...why doesn't Magic Hat just buy Hendo?

Not always about the quality of the players these days as is seen from the fact Liverpool think The Ox is worth 40m with under a year on his contract.

At the same time then we know Forest have money and took in £14m for one player, why should we accept peanuts? Far too many teams in Scotland just roll over and accept the first shite offer they receive. We're not desperate for money either. We always manage to get good money for our players, confident it'll be the same here.

Wrong. 1.5mill rejected last night. Not sure if that was their second or third offer.
irvine_buddie
Quote Hibernian reject an improved bid of £1.5m from Nottingham Forest for midfielder John McGinn. (Daily Mail) Stop being stinjy Hibs, we want our £500K

Fair play to hibs for standing their ground and all joking aside, you'll obviously be factoring in our cut and adjusting your asking price accordingly.
djchapsticks
And sorry Hibees, this is our biggest hub of transfer activity for today as it looks like no one's coming in or (hopefully) leaving us.

I also think it's a decent move for McGinn as Forest are an established club and he will know Cummings and McKay. We will know in the next 15 hours. Coventry Saint
£3m now, apparently. It's a decent deal all round, TBF: he helps you win a cup and get promoted, you make a £2m profit, and we get a big fat cut as well.
The Grass Is Greener.
That's a better offer, if true. Would be hard to turn down that kind of money tbf. We better make our move for Henderson.
