Aye, keep the young players under contract, but there will be no league for them to play in.
Genuine Hibs Fan
Reports that Hull are offering 150k for the rat. Bite their hand off? In a strange place just now, looking at that money potentially covering deferred wages or keeping non playing staff on furlough, rather than looking at new players to bring in
JamesM82
There's a certain irony in all this noise about the relegated teams, when a lot of the clubs (Hibs overtly at the moment) are acting as if they had been relegated themselves. Cutting wages, laying off staff who aren't essential for the first team, and selling players who can raise a fee. Although TBF most/all of them would be getting sold anyway, what's different is that they will be doing less to replace them.
Alan Stubbs
No brainer to sell Kamberi, especially in the circumstances. No way I'd be accepting £150k though. Scottish football is going to be even more of a cheap market for English clubs than usual this year. Much as I'd happily let Kamberi be launched into the sun, it wouldn't serve us well to be giving players away when there could be interest in the likes of Boyle and Porteous.

Surprised that we haven't made a move for him if hibs are after £150k, domestically he gave us something we lacked upfront. Out his depth in Europe tho....

Few of the lads here said he didn't impress, what's the word on that? Wee-Bey
I would think (hope) that punting him on the cheap to Rangers would be a last resort.

I thought his presence made a difference in a few games (especially St J) but our defenders couldn't do the basics and imo he was scapegoated a bit. He's never going to be a first team pick but he's a handy backup.

Zing.
We are fucked. Tick Tock. Ron the con etc etc https://bit.ly/3fvjx6v Being serious it appears we’ve absolutely fucked this. Surely our millionaire owner can help out? Or is he more frugal than STF?

Snifter Pee Rot
Cutting wages means we probably can't sign anybody, not a good sign tbh. I'd only sell Kamberi in the last day of the window when these clubs will be more likely to pay his worth. Boyle going will be a bigger loss. Hopefully Ross can cover these departures better than we have in the past via guys like Collins and Yogi signing mince.

It looks like we've handled this badly, by trying to do the right thing initially by staff, wage referrals and no immediate redundancies. It's no surprise we're toiling, revenue has been halved, but we won't be the only ones. You can't blame the players if they're asked to take big cuts, while we sign players. Any player wage cuts should have been sorted out earlier, not on the eve of resuming training and while we're looking to add to the squad. Most of the article is obviously rumour and so on, but it's bad PR for the club.

Alan Stubbs
Making moves (or at least being seen to) for new players is inexcusable tbh. I wouldn’t blame the players for being pissed off about being asked to take wage cuts when it looks like we’re trying to bring in Gogic and others. I think we’ll lose anyone who could make more elsewhere - Boyle, Porteous, Kamberi, maybe Allan. Last season that would have seen us as serious relegation candidates. We’d have been fucked just without Boyle tbh. With everyone else in the same boat, I think we’ll be fine. Bit brutal to even be worrying about on the pitch stuff tbf but there you go.
