FairWeatherFan
So apparently the reason that the all in approach didn't happen last year was because of...some mysterious reason only known to the juniors. And not because the pyramid leagues have a say in who's in the promotion and relegation structure they compete in. Yet the juniors playbook is to go back to the SFA begging to get into the pyramid. Except the SFA couldn't do that last year, but will do it this year because the West Region asked nicely???

Marshmallo
Any truth in the rumour that Kilbirnie would not be able to afford the £2k licence application fee as they spent their budget on magic beans?

"When the big Premier East clubs left to join the East of Scotland League it totally decimated their league and, in my opinion, devalued the Scottish Junior Cup." Right, so how will the Junior Cup be "un-devalued" - will the east clubs be invited to take part again?

GNU_Linux
Ideally we'll have a statement soon from the WOSL that shows publically they are fully SFA sanctioned & backed. Not for the benefit of me or others who follow this process closely but for those who either don't follow it or don't understand it.
surely not!
Here’s a simple analogy to consider from this point onwards. Many of the people on this site will head to America for the first time within the next year as a change to their usual holiday. On doing some research ( or as the case may be in here, being told bits of information), you find out you need a VISA ($14) to be allowed to enter the country and it needs to be given BEFORE you attempt to enter the country. Do you A) get the VISA and therefore gain access to the holiday of a lifetime? Or B) fly anyway, pay the money for flights and accommodation and head to the land of the free in the knowledge that there’s no way you can actually get there as you’ve gone through a route that will not allow you access to where you want to go?

Misinformation gathering pace from the Juniors. Something to bear in mind is that headlines are often done by an editor rather than the journalist who writes the story, so they sometimes contradict the main thrust of the story. Note the contents state that Meadow still very much plan to leave for the new WoS league and leave the juniors: ..."Even without the SJFA application Meadow would still have been very interested in applying for the new league. "I have spoken to a few Premier League chairmen and they all agree that this is the way forward for their clubs, although all are sad to be leaving the Juniors. "When the big Premier East clubs left to join the East of Scotland League it totally decimated their league and, in my opinion, devalued the Scottish Junior Cup. "So when the new West of Scotland League was proposed Meadow immediately expressed an interest."... "I think in the future, playing the top East and West teams in the Lowland League will be great for the clubs. "That is in the future however and we have to establish ourselves in the new league first and foremost and then move on.

The article could be seen as a mishmash of ideas, and we've already had the Kilwinning Rangers chair(?) say in an interview that he had done certain quotes were used outwith their proper context. So its possible the LL/EoS WoSFL and the proposed West Region WoSFL have been conflated into one a bit.

So there's probably going to be some statement as part of that. At the same they are meant to be organising a meeting for those that put in a note of interest to explain things in person and allow for questions. So there will be a public and in person confirmation in the next week or so.
