Yes. it certinaly is a great copition, but that cup will there for the JUNIORS who remain in their set up as the SENIORS have the regionl cup.which all the new clubs in the senior set up will play in.

Let be straight here. when the west if scotland league gets formed it will not just be for junior teams only.it will open to any club who wishes to join the pryamid system i f they make criteria. you really need to realise the senior leagues are run outwith the junior setup. again clubs who wish to remain junior can do so. its their CHOICE which some clubs have openly said they will do.

New secretary would commit to fixture list. Proposal to streamline cups.

Agree entirely, but do you have any feel for "the stories" referred to above ? The "West Region" clubs have been be very quiet about what should/may happen regarding the pyramid, or the future of the clubs which don't intend joining it.

For example, would the West AGM have to make a recommendation to the SJFA, or does it operate the other way round as a recommendation from TJ/SR and co ? Totally independent of each other afaik but obviously some decisions made at SJFA level have implications for the regions - admission of new clubs for example. The West are free to appoint their own top table officials, do their own things re: divisional structure, fixture lists, number of cups ran etc... These are not concerns of the national meeting. No more reinstatement or their own disciplinary system which means no money for the regions coffers. The only way the SJFA can survive is to stay outside of the pyramid for the few clubs who want to hold onto the Junior tradition. The West AGM is usually the week after the SJFA AGM.

A new national non league cup should be looked at once the WoS is up and running and those who want to move into the Pyramid have done so. There really has never been one for senior non league clubs. As you say the Junior Cup can remain for those clubs who remain SJFA members.

The South Challenge Cup will have almost 60 clubs next season, if the WoS is on the go in 2019/20 along with even more EoS teams then you could have over 80 clubs. Just need to add the HL and change the name to "SFA Trophy" it would be an excellent non-league tournament.

More of the post, previous winners etc can be found there. Presumably a typo with LL replacing the HL. BoomShakalaka
Serious Question - Could nitten win the league by default next season? if so can one(any) of the superleague going stay back for a season just to ensure that doesnt happen. Thanks

According to 'The Pie Connoisseur' on the "Wigtown" forum (16th May), the club has issued a press statement confirming that Wigtown & Bladnoch FC is rejoining the SoSFL for 2018/19. If no one else joins or leaves, there will be 16 clubs in the league for 2018/19. Does this further complicate the juniors and a WoSL ? Only if it were seriously being suggested that the West juniors wanting to join the pyramid be absorbed by the SoS. Provided there are sufficient clubs to form a new WoSL it doesn't really matter who's in the SoS.

Again the west of scotland league will be a pyramid league for all clubs who meet entry criteria based on e.o.s.criteria.those clubs who wish to stay junior will not be effected in any way.as they will be JUNIOR.
Burnie_man
So this league reconstruction meeting tomorrow, is it ERJFA or SJFA? You would think it's the former as the SJFA don't organise leagues unless they, as someone mentioned, are proposing some form of Superdooperleague again. Also, any peep from TJ on the outcome of the PWG meeting yet, or is he keeping it secret?

Will be interesting to see what comes around for next season, huge restructuring now required in the East.
