Dons_1988
The worst thing about this incident isn't actually the Celtics excruciatingly epic not getting it and victim blaming It's you c***s. Crowing like f**k in between your Boyne celebrations, spitting on priests and wanking yourself to death over an orange top. f**k directly off back under your rock, please and thank you.AMEN

Shay Logan has claimed he is the victim of racist abuse from Celtic fans which is yet to be investigated let alone proven. Both because of their on-field antics deserve(d) abuse imo. Neither deserve it because of their background.

G-MAN
Difference being Neil Lennon was definitely the subject of sectarian abuse and threats. Neither deserve it because of their background. Not proven ? As I keep on saying. Maybe I need to rephrase the question each time. Why was Shay booed for the first time by a significant amount of the Celtic support for most of the first game after the Tonev case. November 2014. The fact not one of you lot has answered proves you are sending out a message to black players in Scotland to not report abuse unless you have a witness or you will be vilified for apparently being a liar. So your easiest option is to avoid this and only focus on Shay’s antics 3 or 4 years later and say he deserves it for being a cock. After suffering booing at every game since 2014 mind. Most fans in discussions are on the wind up for a reaction. You lot actually believe it’s his fault. That’s worrying and deeply disturbing. As for the Lennon comparisons. He was booed for being a dirty player and a wind up merchant (I’ve actually grown to like the guy and have shared a pint with the bloke once). Logan was booed long before he acted up to the Celtic fans. Where’s the comparison ?

And every game since. As a Celtic supporter you are seriously asking if he got special treatment ? FFS !!!You seem to be experts and remember everything on other topics from years ago, funny you coincidentally can’t remember this [emoji23][emoji23]

Wait a minute was that the game that started the Ronny Roar? Edited July 10, 2018 by wastecoatwilly
Greenlantern
Please observe the different types of boo's; A. Boooooooooooo = You reported racism. B. Boooooooooooo = You're a cant. Each are very distinctive, and often results in heads-gone moments from less disciplined professionals.

I hope this timeline helps Celtic fans understand why ‘but he acts an idiot so deserves to be booed,’ is a defence up there with the ‘some of our best players are black,’ defence in the stupidity stakes. You’re almost right, but 2 was at Pittodrie, and that’s the one where no Celtic fan can give give a reasonable explanation for. Why was Logan booed every time he touched the ball at Pittodrie in the first match between the clubs, after he reported Tonev, and had done nothing else to upset the poor wee darlings up to that point.

He was booed by some of our support as people felt at the time he was lying, if it was for the colour of his skin why would we just boo him? I didnt agree with booing him at the time as Tonev was found guilty. Given it was one persons word against another he must have changed his story enough to have been found to have lying by the SFA,other fans thought different. I believed Logan after the hearing but going back to the may game Im on the fence on this one, I hope it is investigated so we can all move on to an extent. Ah right, the infamous Celtic away support? That's the ones who sing all the IRA songs, just never at Celtic park? Aye, must be them.

wastecoatwilly
OK new timeline if i leave anything out please jump in. September 2014 logan and Tonev have words Logan reports those words Celtic backs their loaned player Tonev only plays 6 games for celtic October 2014 Tonev gets 7 match ban SFA on the balance of probability Logan was more convincing. Logan gets vilified Tonev's career effectively ended (no sympathy and good riddance) November 2014 Aberdeen 1 Celtic 2 Celtic fans booo Logan, puts him off his game and gets sent off for arguing with the match officials. The Ronny Roar was born Logan loves or hates playing Celtic. Celtic fans and Aberdeen fans at each others Throats. Fast forward to 2018 Celtic double treble trophy day Logan again gets sent off my the match officials after the game 55 days later Logan speaks to a Aberdeen news paper Celtic start the new season with a win in Armenia Brendan gets asked about Logan Tonev playing in serie B Celtic fans and Aberdeen fans at each others throats

You've left out the fact that these "words" were in fact racial abuse. That, and the fact that the SFA on the balance of probabilty found Tonev guilty of racist abuse. There wasn't a case to determine who was more convincing, it was to find out if racial abuse took place. They found that to be the case. This really wouldn't be half the event it's become if the Celtic manager and indeed Celtic fans could just condemn racist abuse outright. Instead, everyone's playing the "who, us?!" game and it's really, really tiring.
