Eednud
Melbourne City now played 4 won 4 after 2-0 away win in Adelaide tonight. Ross McCormack scored both, first a slightly dubious penalty, second a cracking free kick. MelC managed 4 clean sheets last season, 3 so far this season. United had chances, especially after Malik was sent off but never looked like scoring. Interesting fact 6 MelC starters were ex Adelaide United players (Galekovic, Jamieson, La Rocca, Malik, Mauk & Kamau plus unused sub Carrusca also an ex Red). Ira Gaines
Don't think I'd say the penalty was dubious. Keeper got there late and punched a guy in the back of the head. You could argue the ball was gone, but it WAS a foul. Immensly enjoyed the first game of the day, and the second Nix goal was a screamer. That Nix keeper was iffy all game and has looked iffy for a while. EDIT: Although the save before Roar's first goal was a cracker.

Didn’t see the other game but good fight back by Roar from 3-0 down. Interesting to see if the Jets can maintain their good start to the season against WSW. Mariners v Victory in the late game battle between the bottom 2.

Went to the US for some youth coaching role then came back and replaced Aurelio Vidmar as coach of the Olyroos plus he was one of Ange's assistants. No doubt there will be a purge when Ange goes so good move. Ray Gatt in The Australian tipped Gombau as new coach within a day or 2 of Popovic's resignation. Eednud
The stadium is empty :-( It looked like it was totally pishing down in Sydney though. Here’s a cracking goal from Adelaide United’s win last night.
Eednud
FFA Cup Final tonight with Sydney FC having home advantage over Adelaide United. Hoping for back to back cup final losses for Sydney and Adelaide winning for a “record” 2nd time. In reality Sydney will become the 4th team to win the cup. Swarley
Bizarre Yes and no. Yes, given they've just qualified for the World Cup and a chance to pit yourself against some if the best international teams in the World. No, it's obvious that he doesn't cope with the pressure of the job very well. I don't think there has been that much bad press (especially when compared to UK media) but he's always on the defensive, having a go at everyone etc. Plus they've gone backwards, imho, since the last world cup especially since the Asian Cup triumph.Be interesting to see who comes in now. A short gap experienced international manager to cover the World Cup, or someone like Graham Arnold for the long haul?
