cowdenbeath Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Shame Cough couldn't get the Berwick defence as water tight as the new roof he fitted in the summer.

willie82 Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Berwick seem very poor defense wise this season. Is the squad poor or are they a team that play an open style?
wulliemc Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Hoping a combo of playing better away from home and berwick losing their mangler is not a recipe for a loss.Won only home game this season but need to convert more chances.

Aye always dangerous playing a team after a manager has left, suddenly players who haven't been playing for the old boss suddenly become superstars.

Away to Annan, Coughlin picked 3 rookie defenders -18 year olds - with 2 experienced defenders warming the bench. Home to Annan, he picked a left back (who most thought wasn't good enough at left back) at centre-half, with 3 centre-halves on the bench. On both occasions the defence was shite, and we conceded 9 in total. Not saying that different team selection would have won us the games, but we wouldn't have conceded 9, and Coughlin might still be there.

Been like that for many years now.
The Minertaur Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Expecting a tough match tomorrow. We badly need an out and out striker to allow Muirhead to play left wing. Expecting a low scoring affair....

cowdenbeath Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Sad to hear of the passing of Isobel Conway who worked in the club shop for many years. There's a minutes silence for her before the game.

berwick-the-unbeatable Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 We'll get humped tomorrow. Pile on the mighty Cowden and in handicaps too. Up the Blue Brazil.

Kierkegaard Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Condolences to the family. Isobel has worked hard for the club over many years. Win this one for her.
Kierkegaard Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Hard time for Ben and family. I used to play fitba with Ben when we were schoolboys. Ben and Isobel both worked hard for the Kelty kirk as well - the kind of people who help make communities work.
