Tenkay Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Edinburgh City play Elgin at Ainslie Park on Saturday still looking to gain their first point(s). Elgin, (Unfortunately for us) have started on a winning run, winning their last two games. We should be looking at this as a game we can win, but if we have the usual weekly mistakes and handing away goals then who knows!
Bay Citizen Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 A win would be great but I'd be happy with a boring nil-nil draw at the mo just to get a point on the table.
afca32 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Couldn't get the day off work for this, very upset to be missing it. Would give Ali Sutherland a start.

AllyMonc Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 I might try one of those giant sausage rolls I've seen kicking about. In terms of the game I think Elgin will nick it.
AllyMonc Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Dreadful stuff. Look significantly worse in every department than last season. Deary me.
philosopher Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 I see Edinburgh committed 24 fouls, picked up 6 yellows and a red. Was it that kind of game?

AllyMonc Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 I take it the giant sausage wasn't up to scratch then? I actually changed my mind at the last minute and had a pie, the first of many errors today.

Still, another home tie at Ainslie Park next week verses the mighty Berwick Rangers. A chance for you to redeem yourself and post a selfie with the greasy monstrosity. (and I'm not referring to Grimes )

Surely that was your second error... Assuming my brother isn't on one of his many holidays, he was probably at the match, makes a change for him to see Elgin win, tbh.

Tenkay Posted August 27, 2017 Author Posted August 27, 2017 I missed this one, but obviously interested to hear about the game and how we played. Disgusted to hear the result, as I think we are better than we are showing, but "something" is not quite right at the moment. Fair play to Elgin for being in the right place at the right time.
GMB Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Elgin were better all over the park and outcome never looked like anything other than an away win

Elgin's striker was certainly in the right place at the right time to say "thanks for the incredibly slack back header lads, that'll be our second goal now. Cheers."
