D'Jaffo Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Our performances have been slipping in recent weeks due to missing players but with almost a full squad back hopefully we’ll be back to our best. A win here could be massive considering Raith play Albion Rovers. Rovers have one of the best away records in the league and have already beaten Raith this season. East Fife we’re pretty poor against us at Somerset but they’ve had a few good results this season. Hopefully Crawford is back for this but if not I’d line up like this Hart Ferguson Rose Higgins Boyle McDaid Adams Docherty Forrest Moffat Shankland Think we’ll win 4-0 Moffat, Shankland x2 and Forrest.
North Terrace Gazza Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 I don't see a 4 - nil win here. I'd settle for a 1- 0 borefest
callum-ayr Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 I’m sure EF have a 3G pitch so no Adams.
Ayrfan1910 Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 I’m sure EF have a 3G pitch so no Adams. We are fucked then

Hursty Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Aye no Adams for next 2 games. Docherty being on bench yesterday suggests he will be back, massive if we can get Crawford back (assume Geggan is still a bit away from a comeback). Big call for McCall. Do we go the 3 up front again which despite the wins isn't quite clicking, or do we drop 17? goal Moore.
D'Jaffo Posted December 10, 2017 Author Posted December 10, 2017 I’d opt for: Hart Fergusson Rose Higgins Boyle Geggan Docherty Crawford Forrest Shankland Moffat Subs: Avci, Reid, Gilmour, Faulds, McDaid, McGuffie, Moore Don't think Geggan is due back for a couple of weeks yet.
Waniche Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 I’d like to see..... Hart Ferguson Rose Higgins Boyle Doc Crawford Mcdaid Forrest McGuffie Shankland
Hursty Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 I’d like to see..... Hart Ferguson Rose Higgins Boyle Doc Crawford Mcdaid Forrest McGuffie Shankland McGuffie starting and Moffat not? Or even Moore? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. You're at it.

Give the lads that came on and scored on Saturday a start and let Mcguffie prove himself. If it doesn’t work......unleash the fury!

If it doesn’t work......unleash the fury! Hah im maybe being harsh. But for me if Crawford is fit he has be wide left. No way on this seasons form McGuffie should be there instead of him. Agree about Forrest / McDaid deserving a start, but then who gets dropped? A good dilemma.
UpInTheAyr Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 I’d like to see..... Hart Ferguson Rose Higgins Boyle Doc Crawford Mcdaid Forrest McGuffie Shankland No Moff? I know confidence is high but what's next, starting with ten players to make it more of a challenge?
D'Jaffo Posted December 11, 2017 Author Posted December 11, 2017 If Adams can’t play then I’d rather see Faulds get a shot ahead of Gilmour. He’s contributed very little this season and I’m surprised he was kept on this season. Surely Faulds would be a better option and would look to create something rather than opt for sideways passing and hoods up field.

Don’t know mate, I agree Crawford is best wide left. However feel that using Mcguffie will do the ‘yes or no’ a try. i.e is he good enough to start? Its getting into silly cold, freezing time and we don’t want to burn out all our options this early.

Gilmour is good at pointing at stuff though, nobody points like our Brian.I think he'd play Moff in midfield again before Faulds, that way he can play Forrest behind Shankland.

McGuffie is a tough one. Obvious ability yet for me he tends not to do much. I'd have McDaid ahead of him. Nice to have this debate though! Squad depth is pretty good.

Nice to have this debate though! Squad depth is pretty good. In fairness to McGuffie, he's still only 19 and only gets a chance here and there in a position he's not suited to. It wouldn't be easy for anyone to impress in those circumstances. I'm not suggesting we drop Moffat to give him a run as the number 10, but even playing him on the right and allowing him to be on his left foot when he drifts inside would be a big help to him I think. Although you're dead right in that McDaid should feel he's earned that spot at the moment and deserves a run in the team before McGuffie is given another go.
